  1. The is supported is a property from the Roku that we are pulling if the device supports wWOL. Make sure Reduce power after 15 minutes is also disabled. This is important with WiFi only connection.

Turn off room wait that full 15 minutes and then a few more. If the device is unreachable unresponsive then most likely the wireless nic is powering down and you will not b able to use our driver with that particular tv

  2. We have released an all new RokuTV driver which uses a TV proxy. Uses Control4 mini apps and will track and select the appropriate icon and app name on navigator (touchscreen, Android, iOS ect) remotes will only reflect app name.

This is a "universal" RokuTV driver. Meaning it works with virtually ALL RokuTVs.

    Confirmed manufacturers:

    Sharp

    Hisense

    TCL

    Insignia

  3. Yes Connections should be as follows:

Video end point : fake tv

    Video Audio endpoint: AVR

    Video Volume: AVR

sources into AVR > AVR OUT to appropriate HDMI input on "ROKU MATRIX" > HDMI OUT of "ROKU MATRIX" to fake tv

local sources into "ROKU MATRIX" into appropriate HDMI inputs

Optical audio out of "ROKU MATRIX" to appropriate input of AVR.

It really is no different than any other setup with the exception of adding a "FAKE TV" to bind the "ROKU MATRIX" to and make the "FAKE TV" the video endpoint

  4. Going to the "Roku matrix" is expected behavior. As you are not ever controlling Netflix and such you are always controlling the Roku.  So it doesn't "revert back" it goes to where is supposed to. I hope that that makes sense.

With controlling your Joey. It should switch to HDMI 2 and control from a remote perfectly fine.

As for the now playing screen. Which is what your issue seems to be. This is an issue that ONLY affects iOS devices. This has been brought to Control4's attention on several occasions. And is out of our control. And if you use an SR remote you will have no issues.

Just trying to use the HTI Customs driver for the first time with a TCL Roku.  Perhaps I am doing something wrong, but there doesn't seem to be a way to have it just turn on the TV and go to/control the Roku main/home page?   Hopefully just something I'm not doing correctly in the setup?  If you select Roku Matrix in Navigator, it just goes to a "Now Playing" screen, with no control of the Roku.

    Please advise...thanks-

    Ari,

Please submit a ticket within the driver. And we can walk you through what you are doing wrong. Did you follow documentation?

Does this clarify whether volume control and power on/off is supported by IP driver?  I am using a combination of IR plus free Roku driver.  It would be nice to get rid of IR.  Can anyone confirm what the blackwire driver does?

Yes, it does volume control. Input select, app select, auto room on. Auto source selection. (If you manually turn TV on with Roku remote and select hdmi1 and it is your cable box, when you pick up the Control4 remote it will have selected cable as the source for the room and you will be  controlling the cable box)

I've seen this driver mentioned on here, but have yet to see anyone comment if they've had actually used it. The documentation states it works with Roku TVs and doesn't specify a brand so may be worth a try with the 72 hour trial.

Anyone given this a try on here?

So far we have had success with tcl, Hisense, insignia brands of RokuTVs. Wifi or hardwired. Anything manufactured 2017 or later supports power commands
