Can you put a switch somewhere else in the circuit?
Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk
Problem is prior to this the circuit is in the walls to the circuit breaker. Makes it tough to put in prior to this. I even tried to put a small hole in the enclosure but wasnt enough for wifi reception.

Hi All,
I have a stainless steel enclosure for my landscape lighting ballast. Ive used in the old days manual timers, but then upgraded to a C4 outlet but couldnt get a wifi signal into the stainless steel enclosure. I then tried a Wemo outlet and same issue. I basically have no control if the cover is closed. Any work arounds or thoughts on how to fix this annoyance. Ive programmed the landscape lights to come on based on various motion triggers but none of it works without the plug getting a signal.
TIA.

think you need to watch the lua of the Fire tv and see if it puts out an app code so that you can use the mini app driver. If you can find that out its really easy to program
Ok. I have no idea what a mini app is though. I'll look at the fire TV app in my composer.

looks like the fire tv has it. so you might be able to use a custom mini app to pull the app on the fire tv. you would need the ring driver from Kevin L. then on doorbell press activate the mini app and what ever else programming you would want.
So I have a bunch of fire TV and fire cube. I have a ring driver as well I thinj black wire. If you could do it I'm game.

If so, I would think that would have to happen between Ring and Amazon, without Control4 being involved (except possibly to turn on the TV and switch to the correct input). On the TV, what method were you trying to use to display the video from Ring?
I haven't tried TV. Was wondering if there was a way. Works on Amazon but dont know how to automatically have it flip to the camera. I have to actually ask Alexa to show me my front door. Was wondering if there were any drivers to do this.

Is it possible to program video to show up from a Ring Front doorbell on pressing it to either my Echo Show or any TV? Currently i can ask Alexa to show me my front door but I'd like it to automatically do it.

that would not be teh case with this
So if you dont mind me asking, what does the driver you have do?

So like with fire TV i can just say, "alexa turn on tv". In past I couldnt mount in the rack in the basement since it couldnt hear me and therefore not use the audio commands to control my TV. If you now mount it in the rack, can it still use the audio or is it all remote based?

includes pendent fire tv, otg cable, usb hub and IRUSB. Asking $100 shipped to the US. Will install driver(s) for free!
So does this now mean I could hook up a fire TV in my rack in my basement to work on a tv on my 1st floor? With full audio controls? and Remote control?

Hi All,
I had programmed certain light switch controllers to turn RED if the home alarm was armed and back to normal if disarmed. I have now had to upgrade to the honeywell driver and lost all the programming from the prior driver. Can someone tell me how to program this please?
TIA

WOOHOO!!!!! I can confirm that I have connected the 4232CBM to my EA-5 on OS 3.0 using a VISTA 20p system and programmed as above and it works. I can arm, stay, disarm, etc without issue. It does work fine
Thanks all for your help.

The wiring diagram is in the driver documentation

I have the wiring diagram from the CBM. I don't have any from the driver. Would they be the same?

Do you know where to buy a DB9 connector that I can actually wire myself?
-
So quick technical question, if I have a 232 cable with a male and female ends can I assume if I cut off the male end and wire the 3 (Rx, TX, gnd) into the CBM and just plug in the female end into c4 it'll work properly?
-
Hey all,
I need help installing this technically. I did order the 4232CBM today. Do I need to order anything else specifically to change it over? New serial adapter? Different cable? etc.? Any help is much appreciated.
I installed the houselogix module myself but that piece came with the serial port and attached directly to the HC800. This looks like it goes in the alarm box and needs a cable to run to the controller with an adapter.
Thanks so much in advance for your help.

Im trying to use composer HE 3.0 but cannot log in remotely. Only gives an option for local system. Anyone have a work around or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.

The houselogix module can only be used w the houselogix driver. As for the future of it I can't comment. You would need to contact snap

So I had the houselogix module and driver and it wasn't working with 3.0. Does that mean I need to now buy the CBM module?

Others say it is working no problem with OS3. Although not sure if they have Vista 20 panel. Any thing else change like moving any cables, changing out something, etc?
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkNothing changed. It was recently giving problems with my 800 where if power went out and 800 restarted, it wouldn't reconnect for days. Now on EA-5 Not recognizing at all.

I am adding custom wallpapers on my iPhone app but they don't show up when I see the rooms. Does this only work on iPads or am I doing something wrong?

Are there just outdoor wifi plugs that would save me from installing the plastic outlet box?
