I have an old 7"TS which is now shot. Looking to upgrade. I have it mounted on a wall with POE in place. Is there a cheaper alternative such as an ipad mounted in its place? If so, how do I power it and any recs on mounts?

Unfortunately I Have a ups but with all the other equipment it wasn't plugged in. It is now. I do think it's fried as well though with reinstall from scratch worked. Just with power outage went again.

I would look at why your HC800 is crashing.  Migrating to a newer controller won't solve the problem if your project has problems.

We had a series of power outages back to back and after one of them it does not reconnect the system. My dealer spent hours copying most recent backup, resetting 800 and reinstalling. Worked fine for a day but next day with a random power outage, same problem. Any ideas would be appreciated. And no we don't have power issues regularly.

Have an HC800 which seems to be crashing so upgrading to an EA-5. From your experience, any reason not to upgrade to an EA and stick with an 800?

So did I. The faulty power supply does not put out the required Amps or voltage and the unit acted exactly as you described.Once replaced worked like new. Worth a try, easy cheap fix

 

Tried new power supply. Unfortunately no luck.

But I have power to it. Would this be the issue if power light is on? Just asking.

Hope you can help. For the last 2 days my C4 is down. I have rebooted the 800 multiple times and it still wont connect. I have changed the port my 800 is plugged into on my switch. Still no luck. When I reboot, the LINK light flashes then stops. Then the WIFI light flashes and stops. 

I still have internet and WIF in my homeI.

Please help.

Just got a new computer and downloaded HE but now it asks to activate it with my subscription code. i checked on my control4 home page but cant find the actual subscription code. Does anyone know where I find this?

I just added an echo Dot to my rack and it's awesome. I just tell  Alexa to turn on my speakers in room X and then I ask Alexa to play any music I want on my rack dot.  It’s amazing and simple without having to create different scenes for different playlists or artists. 

Msgreenf set me up. Love it but have a problem. Can anyone help? If I say 2 part commands:

1. Alexa turn on kitchen

2. Alexa play XYZ on rack Dot, it works fine and I get music in my kitchen.  However, if I do a step command:

3. Alexa turn on kitchen and play XYZ on basement dot, I get an error, "sorry I can't find device kitchen echo dot". Follow up mode is enabled for all of my Dots. 

Any thoughts are appreciated. TIA. 

I've had an Echo integrated into my amp as a source however many times when I try to use Alexa to Turn On Kitchen I get "kitchen isn't responding. Please check it's network connection and power supply". It works however it works for other rooms. Can anyone please help?

Can anyone tell me after I plug in my echo Dot to the amp, how in composer HE do I add it as a source? TIA

Over the last few months my TS has started doing this on the screen. Slowly the bubbles are leaking down goo onto my floors. I'm not sure what's going on but wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts.

Now the wifey is getting frustrated at the black TS in my hallway. Anyone here able to help get my photos back up on TS screensaver? I keep getting the error as above. My flashdrive is clearly working as my music still shows up on it. 

I see SouthAfrica C4 users comments above but i dont know how to delete the screensaver agent and re add it.

Help please. I've had photos play on my TS for years as a screensaver. This past weekend my dealer upgraded my C4. Now I have no screensaver. I looked on composer under Media SCREENSAVER but I keep getting an error (see below). When I click on the same USB drive under STORED, my music shows up. When I try to add media I keep getting an error (see below).

Any thoughts are appreciated.
