I’m seeing 5 secs in my system. Room already on so no waiting for amp to start.  Apple Music paired to shairbridge. Select a song, song starts gets to 5 secs and then I start hearing it. With that said I don’t have any clipping of the song. So when the sound does start at the 5 sec mark it is the very beginning of the song. Happens if I switch to another song as well. Exact same 5 sec experience.  I have a CA10, EA5v2 and a CORE3, Triad Matrix, Triad PAMP, all ubiquiti gear, AC-HD APs.

Delay hasn’t been new for me. I always just assumed it was C4 doing some sort of buffering. Especially since once things do start playing I haven’t missed any of the song.

Something else to consider is C4 is Airplay 1. I think that on its own has a couple of second delay for buffering.

Thx.  One zone / Triad One is the amp. Thanks for the info about the 3 seconds.

Would love to hear from anyone using ubiquiti + triad equipment w/airplay.

We're currently testing a beta version of this now. If you are still within your trial window, and are interested in trialing the update please let us know.

Would love to try it out for you. I haven’t purchased the driver yet, but am keeping an eye on it to see what features get added as I really want to buy it. For the price of the driver I’m hoping to see a few more features to justify the price for me vs just continuing to use the Solar edge app.

So this driver still can't be added to new projects at this point, correct?  I just tried adding it to a project running 3.4.1 and it gives me the error in Composer.

It’s still officially blocked, but someone on this forum modified the driver properties changing the name and that got around C4 blocking mechanism. Combo of that modified driver and then the license from the company works without issue.

Ok, it's working - I'll detail what I did for the next person who needs it because I'm not 100% what was the thing.

I did what Topfox suggested here, in composer TV optical out to pathfinder to analog IN (to the port where it's actually coming from AVR zone 2 out).

I also made programming that when the AVR turns on Zone 2 does as well.

Finally, based on the recommendation of a Control4 tech, in Denon settings (general - zone 2) I changed the volume from VARIABLE to FIXED with a volume level at 90.

Side note, I changed the Roku sound output back to auto (not stereo) and it still works.

Cool glad it’s working! Note in my setup I didn’t do anything with pathfinder though.

Yeah that makes sense the fixed volume. As you will be controlling volume from the matrix vs the AVR.

We've just launched a fix at DriverCentral. v20240405 updates the graphics to something more iOS friendly.

We have tested this on an iPad both Portrait and Horizontal landscape. Please let us know if this has not resolved your issue.

Also, please ensure you Refresh Navigators after the update has been applied.

Working on my iPhone now. Thanks

OK, so looking at this, you're telling Control4 that you have a TV to AMS physical connection, but you really have an AVR to AMS connection. You don't have Zone 2 out to AVR in composer but you do physically. And then zone 2 on the AVR is set to always on?

Yep. The AVR itself doesn’t stay on all the time, but currently have it set that when the AVR does come on the Zone2 is also always on

So I should go TV optical out -> path setter -> triad ams (analog IN 1)?

Don't I need the composer connection for zone 2 -> triad ams (analog IN 1)?

Here is screenshots of mine. Physical connections are

AVR HDMI output to TV HDMI Input

Zone 2 analog RCA connections to Triad Matrix Analog 1 input

    Thats it.

Yes - that is what I'm trying to do.

Can you tell me more about this:

I have AVR zone 2 out to Triad Matrix analog in in connections. There's nothing from the TV to the matrix.

Edit - also, when I go to share TV audio from the living room, no other room options are available if that helps.

Yeah I don’t have a physical connection from the TV to the Triad. Just the zone 2 analog to the triad analog. I meant in the connections in composer for the Triad analog port you have zone 2 connected to, set that connection to your TV. Once you do that you should see that TV as a source under listen for all your rooms being run by that matrix.

  10. In the AVR connections I don't have anything but the Inputs for all the sources configured and then the HDMI output to the TV and then of course the Standard Room Selection Output stuff for the room the TV is in.  Nothing configured for Zone2.

For my Triad Matrix I have the input set to the TV ->Output in connections.  Physical connection is to the Zone2 output on the AVR

In my adjacent rooms I just make TV for that central room available in Navigator and that is what I select in Listen to in other rooms.

On the AVR I have the Zone2 on every time the AVR turns on.  You can verify this by looking for the Zone2 indicator on the screen.  If I remember right you just need to turn it on from the AVR face buttons or button on the AVR remote, and it will just stay on through power cycles.  I don't think you need to make your sources Stereo in this configuration as if memory serves me correctly Zone2 will only output Stereo. I could be misremembering on that part though Stereo part though.  So Id try it with it being set to stereo first and once all working try it without stereo being set.

  11. 100% possible. I have this same AVR and am using Zone 2 to replicate audio through my triad matrix to two adjacent rooms that have visibiliy to the TV that I look to replicate what Im watching to.  For example one of the adjacent rooms is my kitchen, so if Im eating in there and watching TV I replicate the sound to the kitchen.

Is that what you are basically trying to do?

  12. You should be able to go into connections and make the single TV the video endpoint for each room.  Then you are just setting the specific audio point for each room to be the Sonos for that room.

I don’t have Sonos but I do this with my pool pavilion where sometimes I want the audio of the TV in it to play on the TV speakers and sometimes I want it over the pavilion speakers, but sometimes I want to play music over the pavilion speakers while the TV speakers is playing what’s on the TV. So I have two rooms. Pavilion and pavilion TV. I can’t control the one Tv from both rooms

See pics below for two different rooms with the same video end point.
