Correct. Just understand the nk1 does nothing except provide an interface to centrally Manage your waps. I had 3 pakedge waps and I just logged into each 1 separately so I did not need the nk1

Nk1 connects to switch like the wap. 
if your starting  fresh I would make a new ssid this way I know exactly what is connecting to my new network. I recall band steering causing issues. Def want to keep separate ssid’s 

the reservations are located in system/lan page. Also status/ clients will show what’s reserved by showing a circle with a Line through it  

I just removed the rubber feet in mine and it’s just screw mounts. Here is a pic

2 Options:

On-wall—The controller can be mounted to the wall using screws. Remove the rubber feet, measure the distance between them, and insert 2 screws into the wall so that the heads are about 1/4 to 1/2 inch from the wall. Position the holes on the back of the controller over the screw heads and slide the controller onto the screws. •

DIN rail—The controller can be mounted to the wall using a section of DIN rail channel. Mount the rail to the wall, and then attach the controller to the rail. Important: The CA-1 is not rated to be installed inside an electrical panel. DIN-rail installation is only intended for a wall-mount or other section of DIN rail outside of an electrical panel.

If your keeping your router then most likely you will have to only reboot the router. If your replacing your router then yes, reconfigure your devices. 

Are you using araknis wireless access points ? They put out lots of power.  They may need to be adjusted. 

Just got this from another forum member nothing wrong with it but I ended up needing more then 4 zones so I never even used it. I paid $400 so looking for $400. It’s boxed up in the original box.

Try separating the ssid let us know how it goes. Also update all firmware if you didn’t yet. 

And as dcovach said. Your router should connect to only 1 switch. Then secondary switch to primary switch. 

A lot of pakedge problems for me went away when i separated the 2.4 and 5 ssid. 

I am told it’s best if you assign the ssid and not let them roam between them

I also forgot , here in the North East, control4 would never allow a business that has not been in the av integration / smart home business that has been selling installing and programming other home automation systems for years. They also verify your accounts with those other suppliers

Damn, here in New Jersey and New York control4 requires a real showroom in a commercial building that you must fit out showcasing their products.

It can’t be in a residential location and the sales rep is required to visit it to approve it before you are approved as a dealer. Then they require you to not only have a large opening order but also maintain minimum yearly sales. 

In addition to that , you must send a minimum 2 employees to the 4 day training class out of state. And you cannot just list an existing control4 certified programmer as an employee , you are required to send 2 people to training. 

I wish New Jersey was like Texas and didn’t enforce all of those requirements. You Control4 dealers from Texas have it easy.

Did you go to the programmers class ?

Yes 2 relays but it’s 13 amps 12volt 

We can def take the 2 wire power switch out since it’s just powering the awning. At first I thought it might be sending power to the 3 wire rocker. So now it should just be a relay to open and close those 3 wires. 

Here is the exact wiring diagram 

So then that top brown wire is one relay to open and the bottom black wire is one relay to close?

how would I connect the 3 wires to the z2IO?

The 2 wire switch is the power which I plan to alway keep powered on. 

Snap support of the Araknis products is really good. I had an issue and they logged in and adjusted the settings on the router and waps. Really good support and network tech that knew what he was doing 

After using both for over a year , yes I do. I also like ovrc much better. And ovrc home is designed for the end user which is also very easy to setup. 

When I first installed the  NK1 it was with the understanding that it would route the traffic / handoffs of the waps, I quickly learned the NK1 does nothing but provide a central management interface for the access points and nothing else. I found myself always just logging into the individual WX/WK waps anyway so the NK1 did nothing for me

 These days I am using Araknis and the AP range was much greater. We had to lower the signals in some of them close to the EA controllers running Zigbee
