  1. @South Africa C4 user I mean T3. That's the model I have in my home.
  2. Thanks for the driver recommendation. Regarding my problem, your thoughts are that once the checkbox to enter monitor mode is checked, the tablet should immediately convert to that mode?
  3. What I mean by that is in composer I can see the appropriate checkbox for "monitor mode" on the T3 settings turn on, but when I call the T3 using my phone, it does not show me video. However, when I send a "refresh navigator" command from composer, the T3 shows video when called from my phone.
  4. I want to change the "monitor mode" on my T3 tablets when I change the value of a variable. I want to do this so that i can use the cameras on the T3 to monitor my home when I am away. This automation works just fine in composer, however, the actual tablet does not go into monitor mode. But, when I do a "Refresh navigators" from composer, the T3 tablet picks up the change and goes into monitor mode. Questions: Is there a delay between the setting updating in composer and the tablet picking it up, so this is a non-issue? If the above is not true, then can I trigger a "refresh navigators" programmatically? Bottom line is that I want to be able to flip the T3 into monitor mode if I am remote. Any insights are welcome. Thanks.
  5. My dealer took over the installation when I purchased the home, so no, my dealer is not the original installer. Previously, the same dealer has worked on my system before and it has worked out well. Again, I am not questioning their competency here. They know what they are doing. In this case, a hardware module "died" upon receiving new programming. Could be that the module was already on its death bed, who knows. The action that triggered the failure was the programming update to the KNX module. Left to its own, it was working fine. I was told by the dealer that the module may need replacement (and it is not in stock right now, which adds to my woes).
  6. I need your advise, especially if you are a dealer. Background: I wanted to see in the C4 app on iOS whether my shutters are open or closed. The current drivers used did not show this info, they only allowed opening and closing. My dealer told me that this required C4 driver updates and KNX updates. While updating KNX using ETS, one of the KNX modules, which controls 1/3 of the lights, shutters, etc in the house, went dead. My dealer, with whom I have a good relationship, spent 2-3 hours trying to figure it out but gave up and is going to come back in a few days to "put the module on a different power supply" in order to revive it. Until then, I am out of luck and am a bit upset about this since 1/3 of the house is "dead" until this is fixed. Also, there is a possibility that the KNX module needs replacement, which is not cheap. On top of it, the dealer may charge me (per hour) for all the time they spent troubleshooting their own created issue. My question for the community, especially for dealers: what's my best course of action to ensure that the dealer and I "share" the cost here? I don't want to argue with them as they do good work, but in this case, the module was fine until they decided to update it. Any guidance is appreciated.
  7. So you ran a direct cable from source to C4?
  8. I am sending audio from an Apple TV (using Apple TVs built in audio broadcast feature)over to C4 in order to have the audio play from speakers connected to C4. There's a massive lag in audio (which is understandable as the audio is going from source over wifi to C4 and then from C4 audio matrix over to the speakers). Is there a way to fix this? Ideally, I'd like to fix this only for this "source". Any pointers are welcome.
  9. Removing the system is the same as logging out. When you log back in, your associated system will be re-added automatically.
  10. Thanks for the hints! Fix confirmed. Steps to fix are: Reboot controller Log out of new C4 app and log back in
  11. "Early media"? What is that? Do you mean I will have to answer the door bell in order to see audio/video?
  12. I have two different user accounts that were using the old Intercom app. Both were signed in on their individual phones and everything worked fine. So it is just a matter of logging out and logging back in with these existing accounts (on each individual phone/device)?
  13. I dont even get that. If I am not home, this new "combined" app does not react at all and I will never know that someone was at the door. Kinda defeats the entire purpose. I am thinking of reinstalling the Intercom app for now until C4 figures out the issues.
  14. The old "intercom" app worked just fine. Upgraded to the new combined all and now when someone rings the DoorStation, nothing shows up on the phone. Any clues?
  15. Not fixed. The only way I was able to solve was to make this config change from inside Composer Pro vs on the touchscreen directly.
  16. Tried adding an image just for the heck of it, it was added ok. But when I tried to delete it, I get the error below and Composer Pro crashes... hard. What username is it looking for??
  17. I've now tried to use a network location, same result. The network location connects just fine and is online. But screensaver cannot seems to use it, same errors.
  18. This used to work just fine for me. I had approximately 100 photo's that the screensaver was rotating through. Then about 2 weeks ago, it all went to hell. I use a locally connected (directly into the USB port of the EA-3 controller) USB as the storage device for the screensaver agent. Now, when I click on "Screen saver" under "Media," I get the following error: I have defined the location properly in the agent: If I hit "configure" on the screensaver UI under media and pick the same USB, I get the error shown above -- "location undefined." If I try and use another location (local or on the network), I get the same error. I am on the latest version of controller and composer. Frankly, was hoping that going from 3.2.1 to 3.2.3 would fix this but no dice. Any clues are appreciated.
  19. @Cyknight Where on composer pro can you set this?
  20. Thanks for that info. Where on composer does one configure the screensaver for the touchscreen?
  21. Yes, there is indeed a HVAC system connected. If I click on the "Thermostat" object for the room, I get the following output: 1105 FAN_MODE: 1112 IS_CONNECTED: 1 1138 HUMIDITY: 0 1100 SCALE: CELSIUS 1107 HVAC_STATE: Off 1144 PRESET: 1131 TEMPERATURE_C: 26 1149 SINGLE_SETPOINT_F: 61 1108 FAN_STATE: Off 1104 HVAC_MODE: 1145 MESSAGE: 1130 TEMPERATURE_F: 79 1150 SINGLE_SETPOINT_C: 16 1120 HVAC_MODES_LIST: Auto_Heat,Heat/Cool_Heat So the temperature for the room (26C) is correct. The challenging thing is that this used to work fine. Now I am not sure why it broke all of a sudden.
  22. I am using the "custom" option for the T3 touchscreen screensaver and one of the options I have selected to show is "temperature." Under temperature, the system allows for "indoor" and "outdoor." When I select indoor, it is never saved as a choice and the system always reverts back to outdoor. Any pointers on how to resolve this are appreciated.
  23. @eddy.trochez Thanks for the reply. H.264 is grayed out, so i cannot use it or change it. Also, the cameras are not using ethernet cables, they are running off coax. As for the generic drivers, do you have a recommendation? I have full access to my C4 system and the NVR, so if someone is willing to help remotely, I am glad to pay the requisite fees to get this sorted.
  24. @South Africa C4 user Did you ever get this resolved?
