  1. Thank you!! Where do you turn the custom buttons on, is it under the DS2?
  2. Hi! I have a spare Cat6 from my electronic gate back to my EA5 in the rack and planning to use a couple of cores to open the gate. 1. Can I connect the relay straight into the EA5 - the controller doesn’t need to provide power 2. Do I use the gate driver or something else 3. Can I expose this to my Intercom Anywhere app so when on a video call with my DS2 I can push a button to open the gate
  3. I managed to track the problem down to not deleting brightness correctly so now all working. Thanks for your help!!
  4. Thank you and sorry, of course I meant neutral!!
  5. I don’t think so no, as Google stopped their API access so even the old nest accounts don’t work.
  6. Happy Sunday! I am looking for some advice on the Wireless Square Keypads. My entire house has Phillips Hue bulbs controlled by Control4 which is working great however I am now looking to change the switches over to Control4 keypads. Of course wired switches are not an option so wireless makes sense and I don't need to control any loads so the keypads look perfect. My plan would be to wire the light load to permeant live, as the hue bulbs need power all the time and then also wire the keypad with a live and natural (and yes, my switches have a natural cable already). Does this make sense? Any tips / challenges? Really looking forward to having keypads capable of changing music, lighting, heating etc etc!
  7. Thanks for the reply. I actually have that set already and the lights turn off fully. My problem is when I recall another scene after I have turned them off via C4 they come on very dim - I don't have any brightness values set just colour values so this may be the issue however if I don't turn them off via C4 the scenes work perfectly without brightness. If I add brightness values then that mucks up my colour settings?
  8. Happy Friday! I have spent the last few hours getting my hue bulbs to work and programming scenes etc - working well now i've realised the most stable way (for me anyway) is to set direct colour per bulb instead of per group. Anyway, the only problem I have is if I create a "Off" button and turn lights off, they then come back on very dim - it's like they don't know how to go back to the correct brightness, any ideas?
  9. Ah!! Your guess is right... I do have my EA5 connected to my Video Matrix - does this have some side effect?
  10. Hi, wondering if someone has any tips or advice! I have 8 zones of audio, 7 of which are stereo and run through my Triad Audio Matrix and then Triad Audio Amp. 1 room (my living room) has a Surround Sound system with a Denon amp. For music, the audio matrix is sending audio via RCA to the "CD" input of the Denon - everything is great. For Video, we have a HDMI cable running out of a mirrored HDMI port on the video matrix and into the "CBL/SAT" input on the Denon so we get a surround sound feed from all our sources. We have used the very simple programming in the screenshot below to make sure the Denon changes to the "CBL/SAT" input for video (no programming currently for audio, it just works) however it's hit and miss. Sometimes it works, but if I jump video input or maybe turn off then turn back on, it goes back to "CD" ie the wrong input - so although I still have sound as the matrix is sending it, it's not the surround sound feed, it's a stereo feed. Any tips on programming / rules for making sure the right input is always selected?
  11. Hi! I have the Protect Blackwire driver installed but i'm just getting no video feed and not entirely sure where I am going wrong... The top section I have used my NVR IP address and local login details - the NRV is the new protect 4 bay NVR. The bottom section I have used. the RTSP details as per the instructions, but no luck? If I navigate to the RTSP URL in a web browser it streams fine so seems to be something wrong with my C4 integration? If I navigate to the RTSP
  12. Is there any coloration between dealer of record and composer. Ie if I’m registered with 1 dealer but have a friendly online dealer who can make a few changes, do I have to change the dealer of record or can he just make the changes in composer and I keep my local dealer? Other than looking at the project, would my dealer know?
  13. Are you able to zone native with heos? Or is that a limitation? I did look at Triad Ones but I can run cable so the amplification isn’t the challenge, more if I can only really use sound bars in the TV rooms is there any decent passive ones for Triad or do I just go heos / Bluesound
  14. Thanks for the feedback @Cyknight @msgreenf @eggzlot I really appreciate it. With either heos or bluesound what are the downsides vs native triad? Can you zone them with triad or should have entire system as one or the other? How does the UI experience work, I assume you have to click “listen” and then “bluesound” and then stream? Thanks for your help
  15. Hi All, This is my first post so please be easy! I am doing a full control 4 kit out of my new house, the house is not a renovation project or new build it’s a 17h century building so although I can run cables, in ceiling speakers or in wall speakers are a no go. Here lies my dilemma, I am selling all my Sonos kit as I really don’t want a “2 app” system and I’m struggling to work out what to do with audio. If I can’t install ceiling speakers or wall speakers, then I’m left with wall mounted speakers or wall mounted sound bars. One dealer has recommended Bluesound and looking into the integration, it seems almost seamless and wouldn’t require 2 apps however it still isn’t perfect native triad. So the other alternative I can think off is passive sound bars - does anyone have experience with these (Triad of other hopefully cheaper versions) and are they any good? Or I do on wall speakers for the rooms which don’t have TVs, that makes sense, but again what do I do with the rooms on TVs? Or is there another active sound bar brand like Bluesound which doesn’t need a 2nd app to control etc. Any ideas welcome :)
