While C4 does sort of support H265, I'd set your streams to h264 at this point

Thanks for your help. Problem solved, I found the cameras were set up with an additional user as Operator for Control4 authentication.  Once i reinstated this user with a new password and updated the password for the camera In Composer Home Edition, our C4 system picked up the live view of the camera. In the word of Shakespeare, “all’s well that ends well”.

Well that means the new camera is NOT setup the same as the old one was, as it requires digest. I would check video setup on the driver (ie use h264 not h264+ or h265) and ensure your camera is setup to do EITHER basic or digest/basic

Thanks again.  Before I ran the Snapshot tests, I had made sure the RTSP Authentication and Web Authentication for the camera was set to digest/basic, the same as the other two camera that are working.  Also that the Video Encoding is set to H 265, the same as the other two cameras that are working.  Could it be something else?

Any chance the authentication on the camera got reset to digest and driver is set to basic?

Thanks Cyknight - there were different but I have change them so they are in line with the other camera that are working, but still cannot get it to connect to Control4.  In Composer Home Edition tested the Snapshot which failed with the following message: he remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized. Digest Authenication Required".  When I change the setting to Digest, the error message is: "The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized."  The Snapshot test for our other two Hikvision CCTV cameras, say: "Test Passed."  Could it be something else?

  4. One of our Hikvision CCTV camera's went offline due to water getting into the ethernet connections. The camera had to be reset to test that it was working properly. The camera was working properly, so the ethernet connection was replaced and the camera re-installed. The camera is up and running, it can be viewed via the NVR and the Hik-Connect App and OvrC also shows it as online but it is not reconnected to our Control4 System. On activating the camera I have made sure the IP address and password have been re-set to what they were before the camera was reset.  Can anyone think of a reason why or what else to check. We have 3 other cameras on our system and they are all working but obviously did not need to reset.

  5. Just closing out this thread  - when looking at the Touch Screen System Info page with a dealer, we noticed the Test Touch Screen Sensitivity box was checked and once deselected, the lines and circles disappeared.  Not sure how this was selected but glad to eventually find the solution.  See below for the photo of the Touch Screen System Info page.  Hope this helps if anyone else has this problem.

  6. Please see the attached photo.  I shows my Touchscreen is displaying a line & circle on the screen and 6 boxes at the top.  The boxes at the top are:

    1. P. 1/1
    2. X: 942.7
    3. Y: 407.5
    4. Xv: 0.0
    5. Yv: 0.0
    6. Prs: 1.0
    7. Siz: 0.20

It's as if they details being displayed at the top of the screen are coordinates.

Is the screen in some kind of maintenance mode?

Do you know why this has happened and what I need to do to fix it?

    Kind regards,

    Derek

ou need to go into HE and then Agents and then go into COMMUCATIONS and then Advance - Reset gateway - If this does not work

Go into file Refresh Nav - Wait until it say idle at in the left bottom Corner - They reset Gateway again

Thanks Gary - I followed first set of steps and this did not change the status of the Touchscreen which shows the status as 2: Busy.

When you say go into file Refresh Nav, I cannot see that file. Where do I go to find it?

  8. On my App, the Intercom Touchscreen camera icon is highlighted, but no one is calling or using the Touchscreen to make a call.  I can't remember,  is it normal for it to be highlighted (see attached photo)

When I try calling the Touchscreen and it ringing a couple of time then I get he following message "Call has been declined (603)" (see attached photo).  Can this problem be fixed by an end user or does it need tone fixed by Dealer?

    Kind regards,

    Derek

The enttec would be the piece I'd replace, preferably with a controller compatible with the domaudio driver from drivercentral (might take some digging in the UK). The rest is fine, but with that you're replacing HOW you talk to those other existing DMX decoders in a way that is FAR easier to do AND works better.

Thanks for your help.  Off to find what's available in the UK.

  10. By way of background please see the attached pdf and screen shots our how we currently change the colours.

We really need to know if it possible to create a cycle of colours and then need to ensure the control of the RGBW lights is stable as sometime access via the App/Touchscreen doesn't work.

Please see the photos below for a sample of the lights being controlled.

  11. Meanwhile, I have a couple of specific questions:

1 - is it normal for the top item on the intercom screen in the Control4 App tone highlighted like the one shown in the photo below.  If not what does this suggest it the problem?

    image.thumb.png.3d6f63d0c9c6001157731b38393809c3.png

2 - When I try calling out Control4 Touchscreen, I get the message in the photo below: "Declined

Call was declined. (603)".  Does anyone now what this means, as we are unable to use the Intercom between our iPhones and our touchscreen?

  12. Seeking some advice on whether it is okay to turn off a Panel from the electrical breaker where the Panel has one power source with the following items:

    • Bus Power Supply
    • Ethernat Gateway
    • Network Switch
    • Relay
    • 0-10v Dimmer
    • Dimmer

Also whether it is okay to turn off the breaker which has the the Pakedge Power Unit supporting the following:

    • Pakedge Network Switch (Model: SX-24P8)
    • Control4 Controller (Model: EA-5)
    • Pakedge Router (Model: RK-1)
    • Sky Q Box (UK Satellite TV provider)

If not,, how best should this be done?

    Kind regards,

    Derek

  13. Our Mini DS2 Door Station has stopped ringing on our iPhones, so we are not audibly notified that there is someone at our front door.  Is this a known issue that is easily fixed?  If so, would please let me know what is best do?  The reason for my question is we are in the process of finding a new dealer as our dealer has ceased trading and finding a new dealer to take over is not easy.

By way of some background information:

    1. We have a 4Sight subscription that is renewed annually, due for renewal in March 2024.
    2. Our Mini DS2 Door Station has been set up to send a message to our iPhones and take a photo when someone presses the button.  However, there’s a delay, and by the time we receive the notification/picture, the person is walking away or has left.
    3. Our Mini DS2 Door Station is connected to our Control4 system via a Pakedge Network Switch (Model: SX-24P8)
    4. Our Wifi Network has been set up with 3 Pakedge Wireless Access Points (Model: WK-1), and provides good coverage throughout the house.
    5. Our internet provider does not currently provide full fibre in our area, but our network speeds are around 70Mbps for downloads and around 17 Mbps for uploads

I hope someone can help or point us in the right direction.  Please let me know if you need any more information as I am set up to use Composer Home Edition.

    Kind regards,

    Derek

  14. Thank you all.

The Consumer Unit is the Breaker Panel/Board in the UK

The work was done by a UK, NICEIC qualified electrician and, where necessary, all equipment was switched off and unplugged from the sockets including items connect via USBs in our sockets. After the work was done and tested, all items were plugged back in and switched on.

Everything seems to be working except, the Keypads, Sensors and 0-10v lights.  We can used our iPhones and iPads to control all lights except the 0-10v which do not respond when the slider controls are used.  The 0-10v Relay Module turns the lights on but the 0-10v Dimmer Module does not respond.

I think it, at least in part, has something to do with the Control4 Ethernet Bus Gateway as it is blinking very fast green/yellow and then red (see attached file).  Does this need to be re-set, reconnected to the system?

  15. Thanks again, Cyknight.  Attached is a summary I have put together which shows the loads for each channel, in each module (module details provided), and the total for each Panel.  Load values are for LEDs as all our lights are LEDs.  Looking at these do you see any overload problems for the Modules based one line in per Panel?  Are there any concerns about the breaker for each panel?  If there are any, I can raise them with our electrician and Control4 to resolve them.
