  1. I’m not 100% certain but I believe there’s some ability to remember and revert room state using Room Control driver. I haven’t tried it yet but that would be a good place to start probably.
  2. You mention Josh scenes and Josh announcements, but if I understand correctly, the mentioned driver doesn't involved Josh at all? Also, the driver requires internet access to execute the announcements each time, right? Usually that should be fine but it would be great to have the peace of mind that announcements would execute regardless of internet or cloud services. One idea I had, but I haven't tried yet, is to make a recording of Josh saying something, then upload that to C4 as an announcement. This *might* work because you can tell Josh, "Say 'Here is some text'" and Josh will happily repeat that for you.
  3. Interesting. I haven't used audio announcements yet but will keep an ear out for that problem. Not to get too far off topic, but where do you source your audio files for announcements? Do you record something? One thing I'd love to be able to do is have Josh make a verbal announcement but I don't think it's possible.
  4. Josh support added a delay in my Josh Core server. They said the issue is Josh tells the matrix to switch inputs and then changes the volume faster than the matrix can switch the input. This moment when the volume is changed but input is still on music causes a potentially loud blip of music. In quick testing, it does seem to address the problem. I'll test more today as we listen to music and use Josh. Currently, this setting can only be changed by Josh support. I asked how the delay they set compares to the audio out response delay setting found in the app. They responded: > Josh Wakes->Tells matrix to switch inputs->Back end delay I (Josh Support) added->Set the volume to the response volume->Portal (app) delay->Start responding Hope this helps others who encounter this problem.
  5. Josh Core with Josh Nanos/Micros. Audio output from Josh Core to Triad matrix. Integrated with C4 Core 5. Someone in Discord suggests it was a known issue and should have been resolved. Maybe there’s some additional config required. I am reaching out to Josh support.
  6. We've noticed a weird issue where if we're playing music in a room, and ask Josh a question, before he responds there's a temporary burst of full volume music. It's really annoying and I'd love to get to the bottom of it. Has anyone ever had this problem? We have a Triad 8x8 audio matrix. Here's a video. Nevermind the dirty ceiling - needs cleaned after some trim work. IMG_1529.MOV
  7. My understanding is Composer HE remote connection has been broken far longer than 3.4.0. Someone commented here that it's a cloud service issue not Composer.
  8. Even if it’s a network issue, I would think Halo could be graceful. Reconnect and start working again eventually. It’s odd that a brief network failure is fatal. While certainly possible, it would also be extremely coincidental that I started having issues the day or two after 1.7 installed.
  9. Just got this photo of the network error but look at the signal indicator. Full bars. UniFi currently shows it’s connected with excellent signal and no recent disconnects So strange. Totally anecdotal but it seems like at/below 50% battery is when these errors start
  10. Here is a log snippet from my device when it disconnected this morning. It seems somewhat unremarkable - just says the network became unavailable. I can see in UniFi where it disconnected at that time, but I don't see a similar blip on devices connected to the same AP. RSSI at disconnect was -59 dBm which should be acceptable. What seems a bit more surprising for me is that a network issue is unrecoverable without a restart. Is it expected that there's no way to attempt reconnecting to restore it to working order? 2024-03-20 06:47:36.988 -0500 halo-touch-7bc072 [603] DEBUG: Battery level request 2024-03-20 06:47:37.071 -0500 halo-touch-7bc072 [603] DEBUG: [Battery] recieved level 48 2024-03-20 06:47:47.617 -0500 halo-touch-7bc072 [603] ERROR: HttpHandler_BrokerRequest - 11. There’s ongoing discussion about WiFi and other issues after update in the 1.7 thread. I think that’s the best place to continue discussion because people there have filed a bug report.
  12. Same. I’ve had lots of network connection issues with both my Halo Touches since the update. Even tried factory reset. I had started a new thread about it at the beginning of March but just now saw this discussion. I’m glad to know it’s not just me.
  13. I did a factory reset on one Halo Touch and thought it fixed it. For a week or two I didn’t have any disconnects. Alas this morning it happened again. Once this message appears is there any way to attempt reconnect without a restart? I can’t figure it out but it feels odd. This message completely freezes the remote. Why wouldn’t there be a way to attempt reconnect?
  14. Is this change something I can do via Composer Home? Looking at properties I see the network control mode and Mac address fields. I don't see a way to change to IP address. Do I need to repair, or do I need my dealer to do this?
  15. When you all say it’s unresponsive in the morning do you mean selecting watch will turn the screen on to art mode but won’t change inputs? That’s the behavior I see each morning, too. Interestingly if I get art mode to appear, then turn off the room and wait 15 seconds, and then select something else on watch it seems to change inputs and be fine. This is the only trouble I have with frame TV control.
  16. Has anyone else had issues with Halo touch disconnecting from WiFi recently? Or to be precise, the symbol in the top shows empty “bars” of reception and network settings says connected but has a negative 2 million RSSI. It seems like a remote restart is needed to resolve. Also of interest, it seems to only lose connection after initially launching something via “watch” when room is off. I suspect it may be related to the recent Halo update but it’s hard to remember exactly when the issue first started. It’s happened to both of my remotes. Prior to last few days the remotes were rock solid.
  17. Since you said no VLANs yet I assume you’re not using the new UniFi WiFi pre shared keys? Don’t use it. I tried because it sounds great but my WiFi was absolute garbage until I went to separate SSIDs and just used regular authentication. Otherwise I can’t think of any reasons you’d have trouble with UniFi. Could it be an LG issue? I have a Samsung TV on IP control and it’s working.
  18. What kind of issues do you have? My configuration is currently pretty basic. The biggest piece is I have separate networks for cameras, IoT (only cloud-based stuff that doesn’t directly connect to C4), and trusted internal (all phones, computers and C4 devices).
  19. This is awesome! I wish there was something similar for Tesla Powerwall/Inverters.
  20. Like new, open box, Aprilaire Control4 thermostat. Never used. The backplate was attached to drywall and then the HVAC contractor didn’t think it was compatible with our system. Screen cover is still on the main thermostat and never powered on. Everything is in the box with the exception of drywall taps and screws but those are easily obtained at the local hardware store. I paid $420. I’ll entertain a reasonable offer. Shipped from Nebraska. Pay via PayPal or Venmo.
  21. I would love to hear about your process of replacing a DSC Neo with IQ Pro. I invested a significant amount of time, energy and $$ in DSC Neo but wouldn’t mind considering an upgrade in the future. I’m not super familiar with IQ Pro but seems like it’s built on top of Neo? Anyway, I don’t want to hijack the thread but please consider a post about your experience.
  22. That's really not necessary, is it? I'm allowed to be frustrated that I can't access HE for a system I just paid high 5 figures for. Also, I'm a software developer so I understand how development processes work. Yes, bugs happen and I hope C4 team learns from this and all cases. I also realize that this is a community forum and not C4 owned. And I appreciate the discussion. Thanks for the info. I'll have to discuss the situation with my dealer more. Maybe he did and didn't think too much of it since we were still in the configuration phase.
  23. It was a new system still being configured and apparently auto update was on. Assuming it can be disabled you can be sure it will be in the future. But that’s also a shame because systems like this really should be kept well updated for security reasons. Hopefully they have a retrospective on how this missed QA.
  24. I agree it's weird. I've seen other drivers where the keypad button is next to the activity/history button in the top right. I've seen others confirm that Neo driver doesn't have keypad support. I'll have to check on programming once Composer HE works again. Dealer tried sending commands to the PGMs, which do appear in Composer as relays but it didn't seem to have any effect. DSC Neo supports PowerG wireless devices. I plan to add some soon to help with automation/programming.
