Elvis
https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2016/710/ I found it interesting that the AppleTV will be the remote gateway to HomeKit. Would this allow a 3rd party company remote access to their HomeKit enabled products without the expense of building their own cloud servers? Having HomeKit on the AppleTV could be a big deal -- if it continues to grow.
Cyknight
Old news, repeats of 3 years ago. Could, would, should. I'll believe it when it happens. Understand that I'm NOT saying it won't or can't - but it's been struggling from the start to even get off the ground, I don't see it soaring yet. Not sure I understand this comment. 3 years ago the ATV was a lot different. Certainly wasn't a gateway into HomeKit. The only OLD news is that it is very slow to be adopted. Personally, I'm more interested in Amazon's Echo, but I digress.

It was supposed to be the gateway for home kit then too....
