Axon
Just wanted to take a quick second and let everyone know we've added support for both the RGB and RGBW wireless LED strips from Nexlux. They are direct Wi-Fi so no added controller like Hue! check it out on DriverCentral.io alanchow

xc420
There are several other LED controllers that should work with this driver. Does it send raw HEX to port 5577? The driver is a little pricey but it would be nice to have control in Control4. http://www.jpelectron.com/sample/electronics/WiFi LED control/ dcovach
Axon
@xc420 - based on what I'm seeing there, yes, it seems like that should work with those other LED controllers too. I'm going to order a sample and verify
xc420
All of these should work. Zombber Ledenet Supernight Magic Hue Goldwin They all look like clones except Ledenet but Ledenet uses the same protocol. Any controller that works with the Magic Home app should work. zaphod
Anyone have any feedback on how this driver works? Is it reliable? Can you change colours in C4 Navigators via a colour wheel? Is it easier to programmatically change a colour the way that you would chage the colour on a C4 LED? I have a hacked web UI that I use to control these lights today. It works pretty well as long as the LED controllers stay on your LAN. edit - And how do you add lights to your system? Do you need a dealer to add lights? msgreenf
It works. I use it. Setup dhcp for lights. You do need dealer to add new lights. Color changing via the UI is a little tricky but works
zaphod
By setup dhcp for lights I am guessing that you mean set up a dhcp reservation for your lights so that they have a fixed IP address. Then I assume that you have to enter the IP address for each light in the driver? How about the colour changing via programming. Can you say something like "Set color to Red" in C4 programming? Or do you have to use RGB numbers?
msgreenf
Sorry yes. Dhcp reservation. You have to manually enter the IP in the driver. I haven't done any programming with it
zaphod
Think of the possiblities. Changing colours based on holidays. Red in February for Valentines, Green for St Pattys in March, a nice pastel purple for Easter in April, etc. dcovach
