zaphod
I have a C4-AMP108 that isn't working very well. When you turn it on sometimes it will work for about 1 minute or so, then it will cut out and the LEDs, including the power LED turn to red. Then it won't work for a while - maybe for several hours. It doesn't seem like anything is overheating but something is obviously wrong. I have taken it apart and I don't see any obvious issues, like bulging capacitors. It doesn't look like the power supply on these units is easily replaced, unlike a HC-300. Anyone seen this before or have any recommendations on whether this is fixable? I bought this on ebay and I got a refund since it didn't work properly so I am not out anything, other than the shipping cost.

Jonathan
Both out of the warranty period opened it up and was hoping to see something obvious like a bulging cap or resistor burnt but nothing!
Matt Lowe
i would suggest still trying to get c4 do repairs. they have been doing some options on upgrading to the triad amps. its worth it to try msgreenf
