Time2Jet
When I have all of my audio back to Sonos again, it's all working well. For one of the rooms, I have a Port inputting into a Denon AVR for a theater room. I am not using the 12v trigger, since I figured I would need programming anyway to tell the AVR what input to switch to.. I have it all working with programming, but if I group a room from that room, and then switch that room to a video source, the other grouped rooms continue to play the stream. Anyone think of a way to shut those streams down programmatically (or otherwise) when I refocus the theater to a video source? Also, how can I get the display to show media info when I launch a Sonos stream? I'm a Roon guy, but I have two other friends that are 100% Sonos that are having this same issue and I am trying to replicate. Thanks in advance. lippavisual
Room control driver.
Time2Jet
Room control driver. Thanks again lippavisual I’m trying to figure out where it comes into play here. I definitely use the Room Control Driver in nearly every room for keypad/music. I apologize that I don’t see how to use it for either scenario above. You always know the little nuances, so thanks for responding. Can you shed some light? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
lippavisual
In programming under Room Control, there are options for "entered watch mode" and "entered listen mode". Program what you want to happen based on that. May have to get creative with the grouping though. I haven't dealt with Sonos for a good while, so don't remember if there's variables for when they are grouped. But the above should get you started. That driver is a really good overlooked tool... Thanks for the reminder. It definitely solved the video audio playing when an audio source was selected for that particular room. I haven't had a chance to delve in regarding the grouped audio or video display (during audio) issue yet, but just pointing me in that direction opened up a lot to work with. lippavisual
timbooo
I saw your previous post about the Denon not turning on with the Sonos, then this one saying you did it with programming. Have you installed the Sonos network driver?
Time2Jet
Yes. Network driver is installed. I’m not in front of my programming, but I believe I programmed off of the Room Control driver. It was seriously the easiest thing you do. Add the Room Control driver to that room and go to the programming tab. From the RC driver I think it was like when enter listen mode?
