psi4pwr91
My wife and I have finally decided that it's time to update our system and put a television in the bedroom. We currently have an HC 800 controlling a TV, receiver, satellite box, and a Blu-Ray player in the living room, and we will need to be able to control a TV and satellite box in the master bedroom as well. Will we need to purchase any more equipment beyond the new TV and the box from Dish Network?
msgreenf
You're probably want to put a dedicated hc250 in there. And a sr250. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
SMHarman
If you want the c4 menu then you would want another home controller in there. If not then a the a way for the tv and cable box to talk to the current controller. And another remote control Sr250. The 800 has the performance to handle your additional requirements without any more control hardware. Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
Tokead
How about the card access zigbee to ir if you don't need OSD? Check out http://www.jclautomation.com/docs/Z2IR10A_Datasheet.pdfSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
alf1096
There was a similar thread a few days ago but I will recap some key points. 1 if you don't care about c4 menu it can be controlled by the 800 but you are gonna have to run a control ir bud,Ethernet or serial to control it. If you want the osd buy another controller. 2. A second remote is nice. 3. If you go the hopper Joey route I believe there are driver problems with ip will have to go ir for now. Not familiar with this don't have dish.
