  2. Hi Alan, I'll ask here as others may benefit from the answer. So I have two heat solutions in my home and while I was using IFTT for the switch over that is now paid so I am looking for a C4 integrated soluition. Backup heat (and hot water) is Oil controlled by ecobees (2 one per floor) and that is nicely integrated to C4 Primary Heat/Cool is a Mitsubishi Minisplit system with Kumo Cloud (no integration to C4 at present) This is a second home that is also rented to weekly tenants during parts of the summer so needs to be simple / room control level control for the cool during that time. So what would be the best / the option of the ones you propose above as part of making all that work inside C4 and probably keeping the IR remotes so the rental residents have a stick to point at the device just like they are used to and not needing me to install lots of touch screens or something to replace them (have guests break etc). Thanks,
  3. In my use case case I have Moen flow I can put Flo to sleep while ratio is watering and wake her up when watering stops
  4. If it is a somewhat sheltered outdoors you could try Shelly and see how they last. At $50 each it's potentially a workable solution https://www.shelly.cloud/en-us/products/shop/shelly-motion-2-1?_gl=1*pt5c8e*_up*MQ..&gclid=CjwKCAjwyeujBhA5EiwA5WD7_VjsZbkQIvEplqrbLNK8ojF8oftm0AnFvXMlR4IFPobpJaIiYSCOFhoCQlUQAvD_BwE
  5. Shelly would be the C4 way but honestly just use this. You don't need a humidity sensor informing a controller informing a switch to make the decision. Leviton DHS05-1LW Humidity Sensor Switch for bathroom exhaust fan, automate ventilation, air circulation, moisture control, ¼ HP, Single Pole, White https://a.co/d/edcTEfQ
  6. It's a decent design habit to set the lease range to 101 up and use 1-100 for controlled stuff on reservations. Then you always know your controller is on .99 and your nas on .10 and your switch on .1 etc.
  7. I have a second trap on mockupancy disable / record mode which is the on press of certain light switches that are heavily used.
  8. Roku does search as well as anyone can considering the data. Not sure why a streamer would want to restrict that data it prevents eyeballs getting to them. Roku integrates with CA nicely as well.
  9. Similar, but does not change the local control. I need local control because I rent the house for individual weeks during the summer and don't want a complex you control the cool in your room on this or that. The nest style twist for hotter or colder is intuitive to many and provides instant feedback on the screen. Any other thoughts of if my understanding of sensibo is off, I appreciate them. I know you have done lots integrating this non American tech. Thanks.
  10. https://flair.co/pages/mini-splits-and-window-units? Anyone integrated these. I'm always looking for an effective way of getting my Mitsubishi system into Control4 As an Internet of Things (IoT) device, the intelligence of the Flair System resides in the cloud. We do have a free, open API. The site at https://flair.co/api has information on authentication and examples of how to do many common actions - read temperatures, open/close vents, adjust set points, control a mini split, etc. There is an example python client available at https://github.com/flair-systems/flair-api-client-py and a few additional examples available at https://github.com/flair-systems/flair_api_client_python_examples.
  11. Yes and the last 5 are stored in the cloud if you have 4Sight
  12. Some music apps unpause or reset as well. Xm and Pandora for me.
  13. Historically the MyMovies driver. Not sure where that is any more. Now, can you add a plex server on it then a plex client on the screen you want to watch on.
  14. So the WAP itself while older is not really the problem. It's not 2023 tech but it has the right AC and N radios etc. First. Who lives in this house and what are their WiFi use cases. With the extra wire to thr 3rd floor I think adding another same WAP up there could help solve moat things with minimal cost and engineering. Get one on eBay and find out how to get it to join or program it into your network. Replacing WiFi by yourself needs some knowledge of how your current network is configured. What lans exist on what ip4 ranges. What is dhcp reserved etc. Without that you could easily mess up your control 4 but the dealer should have thst info for you or the new installer If they don't want to do the job.
  15. The previous owner should just be able to log in and change the password on their main ownership account to say Password123 and then change the email address to your email address and then you go in and change the password to something more secure. It's that simple.
  16. I have Rachio working great. It is a good two way communication. I get push notifications of waterings and I also use the rachio to tell my Moen Flo to go to sleep and wake back up so I don't get false water leak / use alerts during irrigation operations.
  17. I agree, but weirdly the Roku Ultra wants to confirm 460444 and then the Netflix app uses that. Apple D plus etc all are OK sending HDR over 430444. I know the old cable can send enough data it's just getting past this link headache.
