  1. I agree, but weirdly the Roku Ultra wants to confirm 460444 and then the Netflix app uses that. Apple D plus etc all are OK sending HDR over 430444. I know the old cable can send enough data it's just getting past this link headache.
  2. So I've just upgraded the TV to a Sony Xr55a80J and at the other one of a 25 ft 7 year old in Wall hdmi cable is a ZA 1100ES My HDMI cable and other stuff on each end currently supports 4K 30 4:4;4. I'm waiting on some new short cables for wall to TV and Roku to Avr to see of I can get this to 4K 60 4:4:4 Roku is my only 4k source BDP and Tivo and EA3 are other AVR sources. So currently everything apart from Netflix works in the natural order of things Roku > avr > TV and speakers. Netflix require 4k 60 to do UHD. eARC also works and Netflix app on thr TV works. I could also move thr Roku to Avr on thr TV and eARC all of it. Or maybe programatically push Netflix to be TV source and eARC and the rest to be Roku. Thoughts of best structure?
  3. I've stopped using Away mode for that reason trusting thst it alerts at about 80 gallons and that's not so much to mop up.. On the arrive for the weekend problem you can tie to motion sensors and times of day and programmatically put it in sleep mode for the 4-10pm and 7-10am shower hours. It learns even while sleeping. Mine is put in sleep mode when thr rachio turns on to water the garden as well. Yiu could also make that a button on screens etc.
  4. Specifically this well pump? Would love to be able to deenergise it remotely. https://www.grainger.com/product/FRANKLIN-ELECTRIC-Deep-Well-Submersible-Pump-1CXB2
  5. Ah Control 4 still using GM quality 90's soft touch plastics.
  6. Now my 'buddies rate' main home install has Unifi networking I bought and is working fine. BUT my buddy will now only now Meraki based installs. Why, C4 is all about the quality of the network and and any problems there give weird hard to diagnose problems and cost him time, money and unhappy end users. Meraki cuts way down on service calls and other random customer dissatisfaction. He's also installing a SIM chip to give backup ISP. I bought a second home in 2020 and his housewarming gift to me was a Pakedge RK1, 2X WX2 and their 48 port POE switch. That switch has now been swapped for a 8 port Araknis as the POE wasn't always coming back online after longer power outages without unplugging and replacing the WAP cables. This gear was stacked in his stock room because it's pulled from clients and retired it. My SLA with him is a few pints of guinness and some sushi once in a while, his other customers can buy up to 24/7/365/4h So networking is everything and yes if the networking is supported then C4 will step in and help and if the dealer knows their network setup they also know how to troubleshoot.
  7. I mounted mine behind the TV that way. While dust and debris may be a thing it makes antenna placement easy and also easy to reach over the top of the TV to the power and rese5 etc.
  8. Looks like this. This is recording mode.
  9. Why would it. That's software not broken hardware. C4 does not lock hardware components in a device together.
  10. For me the Flo integration is more useful to put it to sleep when the irrigation is running for long periods of time.
  11. Being on a well, no power means no well pump means no water pressure means leak stops. Im going to replace the well pump switch with a C4 one but I need to replace the tiny back box first.
  12. Just got a fridge with this. Can't wait.
  13. So is this a case there is no RCA or digital COAX from the Hc800 to the matrix Amp? Add that cable. Build a path. Install the drivers.

  15. Mostly. Yes C4 does develop hardware. I'm sure ST will continue some but leave non core to others. It's still a big pivot in their model and moves it closed to C4 model.
  16. "SmartThings goes big on the ecosystem: This is the end for SmartThings devices" https://www.the-ambient.com/features/smartthings-matter-no-more-hardware-2651 Seems like C4 Samsung wants to develop code and mostly leave the hardware to others.
  17. So my moenflo and rachio is now working as planned. Both have c4 drivers and I put the flo to sleep when the irrigation runs. I'll probably get smarter with the programing later. Capture flo status as a variable and then return to original status after irrigation runs. Also with lights or security you can set flo to away when security or motion or other devices do the same. If front door locked and motion sensors detect no motion for 24 h put flo to away. When door unlocked put flo to home.
  18. OK so random update. I updated my code to include push notifications and I was not seeing the push notifications either. Monday morning I wake up to push notifications and working code. I didn't change the code! Driver updates are set to auto as is C4 code base. Perhaps driver fairies updated something and fixed this.
  19. Partner with Roku for the internal streaming hardware. Would only put costs up by $1-200.
  20. I have two dealers that I work with that many positive feelings of running director on the 800. Both my systems are on 800s. I need to set up VPN to migrate the one with an EA3 over as you can't do that remotely.
