  1. Those AVR can be uniquely controlled in the same cabinet using IP control. Wired or wifi.
  2. EA3 is perfectly adequate for an average home build. Constraints in the 1 and 3 are audio streams. EA1 can send the commands for multiple rooms. The challenge here is if the driver for your AVR does all this. As others have said "it should work". But that should is about the feed and control of zone 2. Another alternative is an HC800 as director and 4 audio outs and then an EA1 for OSD. If yiu don't need OSD then an 800 will suffice until it goes EOL.
  3. Pretty sure you can do this on a 250 and maybe an 800 on an older software version. 2.53? I've never had a 500/300/200 in my system but have done this 5 years ago when I got a bunch of hardware.
  4. Yes. Lighting is all compatible. Note if you are buying eBay parts bin specials some may still be on embernet not zigbee and require a fiddly 2 step upgrade path on an older controller.
  5. http://www.chowmainsoft.com/sainsmart-imatic-v2 This is a more affordable relay solution.
  6. There are a couple of DMX drivers that could work from the controller to the lights. One from engineering solutions and one from Enttec. Engineering solution uses a serial connection and does most of the processing on their red box so can give smoother fades etc. That has a paid driver. Enttec is a legacy extra vegetables driver so free from Control4. The processing is done on the Controller so fades are a little more choppy. I have this but the impact is sufficiently minimal that I am not changing it anytime soon.
  7. What do you need to do with the door. A separate hid access that sends a signal to a contact sensor when the hid demagnetizes could create the necessary feedback.
  8. Has anyone integrated unifi access. It's sitting on the same machine as protect etc.
  9. I'd leave the director alone. It's working. My fave suggest of the week. Consider an HC800 for those additional audio etc at the remote location. Saves $$$
  10. All true but this is going into a 4 zone legacy amp. I just picked up an eBay HC800 for $116 taxed and delivered. Gets more Audio streams than the one $40 breakout HDMI device.
  11. Get an HC800 on eBay and use that for the audio connections?
  12. http://www.chowmainsoft.com/drivers-for-control4-comfort Daikin drivers from Chowmain? Daikin Wifi Split - The Daikin Wifi Split driver for Control4 allows you to integrate any Daikin split system with any Daikin split system with wifi for full 2 way control and feedback over modes, setpoints, fanspeeds, fan swing, presets and scheduling. Wifi modules can also be retrofit into older Daikin split systems that have the S21 port.
  13. Absolutely but for the occasional game day party taking the arc or a RCA pair into an audio matrix gets the job done.
  14. Most TVs allow an audio out for a matrix and audio in other rooms etc.
  15. Netflix is the biggest bugbear. So many allows sign in by the 4 letter codes on Roku but not Netflix. After I had my Netflix account taken over it has a securely generated Google password but it's a bugbear to type that in on a keyboard let alone an OSD.
  16. That makes the C4 GUI to pick your watch channels pretty awesome.
  17. I believe it needs at least a UI controller. I've not used their cameras so don't know if you can connect third party cameras to their infrastructure. It would be a cloud key 2 plus HDD at a minimum.
  18. For 199 per screen if you use unifi protect you can add one of these for camera views. https://store.ui.com/collections/unifi-protect-accessories/products/unifi-protect-viewport
  19. Talk to your dealer. These do seem to be a regular problem / ask these days. This Or AMX Alero Or new C4 Triad ones Or any relay controlled multi zone amp will replace this amp that has failed. In fact you can pretty much replace with no dealer intervention as this is switched by a relay and the cabling and stuff it does is dumb.
  20. Is this the matrix or the 8 zone power? The power range is flakey I'm now using an alero by AMX as I got a great eBay price. The new Triad ones are also reliable. All those use B&O class D amplification
  21. How are you amplifying them. I think the problem you run into is the alternatives all need new amplification so your budget explodes there. A eBay EA3 and a dealer to migrate the project, well backup and install on new device will be the most affordable solution. Echo Amps x 6 could also work but are $299 each
  22. Old post revival but doesn't this pull out the Kumo cloud hardware and replace with intensys? Thats a chunk of money on both sets of hardware. Can intensys control splits and oil heat changeover at 40f?
