csmpez
I'm looking at two 65" TVs locally that are open box deals. One is the Samsung UN65F8000 and the other is the Sony XBR65X900A. I can get the Samsung for around $2000 from my local HHGregg store and the Sony I can get for $2499 from Best Buy. The location we are putting the TV will rely on the TV speakers for audio (no sound bar or surround sound). Wife likes the Sony look of the 900A and I prefer the Samsung F8000. Any thoughts from dealers, integrators and others on these two models and how well they integrate with Control4? Thanks! Scott
CFUG
I haven't met a TV yet (in my adult life that is) that couldn't be controlled...
Matt Lowe
the Samsung is a great tv and with the evo kit you can string it out for many more years
Cyknight
EVO is a money grabber - sony will give it for free. Love Samsung, but based on the desire for TV audio I'd recommend the Sony in this case. Picture quality difference is negligible and can be argued in both directions.
Matt Lowe
yea missed the part about the audio. I'd still get the samsung but throw a sound bar at any one would be better than the tv
csmpez
I ended up getting the Sony XBR 900A TV for our bedroom TV. BB just changed their price to $2499.98 for the XBR. I negotiated the price on the openbox display and ended up getting it for $2,064 plus sales tax delivered.
