txfanatic
Hi, I was wondering if any of y'all have put in a digital antenna receiver and/or dvr. I have a media rack that distributes to 3 tvs and I want to be able to watch regular tv programming without buying cable. Do any of you know a good solution that can swap out my location with my current cable box (or it can connect to my sony blue ray player that appears can connect into my network). Thanks
Kalschjj29
I don't have this personally but my co-worker has TiVo with an antenna and has been very happy with this setup. The downside is the $15 subscription but the OTA DVR is $50 with 500GB storage.
Brownbatsbreath
We had a customer who had a Channel Master OTA dvr. It had a nice on screen display with a program guide. Had to make a simple IR driver to control it, but that was painless. I thought it worked quite well. Has an HDMI out to the display.
SMHarman
TiVo is doing the Roamio factory refurbishment for $50 with $250 lifetime. It's a bit of a no trainer purchase. IP control by C4 and you can swap from OTA to Cable/Fios as you choose. Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
txfanatic
where is tivo's $50 + $250, The one on the website is only $150 + $399i am a bit skeptical paying so much for a lifetime subscription as the technology is changing so fast. I do like the idea of paying $300 (5-6 months of cable) for a nice box like channelmaster or tivo. Channelmaster doesn't have Control4 support? SMHarman
https://www.tivo.com/shop/promo/supersavingsChoose TiVo renewed Roamio. These are the ones sent back during the 30 day money back guarantee. Nothing wrong with them. Hate it?! put it on eBay and get most all your money back if your box has lifetime. txfanatic
Got the Tivo w/lifetime and an antenna, it definitely has a nice interface. Is this pretty easy to hook up with Control4? I will need to get the dealer to reprogram the input/remote
THawes
Is this pretty easy to hook up with Control4? I will need to get the dealer to reprogram the input/remoteYes - there is an IP driver available for TiVo that works great (I use it for my Roamio + Mini's myself), which will make this very easy for your dealer to configure. SMHarman
You need to go into the TiVo and enable remote access with 3x thumbs up. Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
