msgreenf
I would delete your library in c4 and run a new scanSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

msgreenf
You do it from composer and you go to the media tab and find music. Select all and delete Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
thegreatheed
Sometimes the scan will duplicate entries if you have it pointed to an itunes library. I believe this was an issue on older versions, not on newer versions. itunes puts a file in the library with the media list and composer scans sometimes erroneously find it. prabeau
Music is transferred from iTunes library (pain) add a song have to do transfer. Thanks msgreenf was way over thinking and thought the scan itself overwrote old. Will try deleting and new scanThanksSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
thegreatheed
Music is transferred from iTunes library (pain) add a song have to do transfer. Why don't you make the iTunes library location the same as the storage location? It would remove the hassle of copying music each time you add a song. prabeau
I may attempt that again but the last time I tried that things got messy. Itunes was giving options that didn't appeal to me so much. But that was a couple of years ago will attempt on moving the library once again. SMHarman
Has iTunes been managing your library and created duplicates? Is the path the same in both versions of a song. Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk
prabeau
Like I said I manually transferred songs from my library on computer to NAS.I have a Macbook Air setup so that .DS_Store files are not copied to network drives but still checked the whole drives and none present. Also removed all Thumbs.db dropped in by Windows. I guess this is groundhog day or was that yesterday ? Not the biggest problem but now I can't let it go. I have now changed the name of directory containing songs and created a 1 song folder for the system to scan and will point scan back to appropriate folder once scan complete. I hope to wipe out what ever traces of I dont know what ! Was planning on installing my new Ubiquiti Router today but seeing what success I am having with the simple stuff ....... prabeau
Left one song in folder to be scanned. The song shows up in the audio media after scan in Composer. When I go to my music it still shows the old library of 500+ songs, this after reloading director. Yish
thegreatheed
Check "Remove media from the database if files no longer exist" on the scanning options pop-up window. Rescan. Refresh Navigators.
