northernlights
I think this was addressed before but without full resolution (http://www.c4forums.com/topic/15969-programming-with-date-range-year-after-year/#comment-137476 I am looking to do something similar. I want certain events (mainly related to blinds) to occur during winter months and opposite events during summer events recurring year over year. Any new thoughts? Seasonal periods are pretty consistent - easy enough to create a schedule to set a variable or two, or alternatgively, bury the action under an IF date is between...or IF month(s) is/are... Cy's method is technically the best. I manually change a season variable between summer and winter. By manually, I mean that I press a button which toggles the variable between summer and winter. This allows me to start winter early in cold years and start summer late if spring weather comes late and vice-versa. I use the variable to control underfloor heating, irrigation schedules etc.
