Locating the IR blaster on a Sony bravia

Just purchased a Sony Bravia and don't know where to place ir blaster that has a head on it. The house was prewired for control 4 & equipment is in other side of house. Instructions show connecting directly to box with supplied cables. Any suggestions?

for any ir device you want to control its best to set up the remote to send a code, volume input change menu channel etc. repeatedly send that command to the device every second or so and move the ir bud around until the device responds. also if you have a bright flash light you can look for some tinted plastic that typically hides the receiver.
