4Sight Problems?

I've been having problems with 4Sight since before Halloween.  Anyone else with similar issues?

I cannot access my network off site (i.e., from a cellular network) from any of my devices.  I'm running iOS 11.0.3 (soon to update to 11.0.4) on my iDevices, and my controller is running version 2.9.1.532460.

 

My 4Sight license is good until June of 2018.  Anyone else not being able to access their home network?  This is very frustrating.

you may need to go to the settings in the app and enable the frequent IP address change option

msgreenf - nope.  That wasn't the problem.  Support log from right now shows the following:

 

- Giving WiFi a chance to startup (this repeats 3 more times)

-Device is using a Cellular connection

-Connecting message:  Connecting to ...

-Installation ID found in keychain

-Installation ID (redacted)

-Connecting message: Requesting Service URLs

-Failure in LocatorService: A server with the specified hostname could not be found.

-No error found for RemoteAccessFailureCode -1003. Automatically setting default error=[0]

-LocatorService returned error: We encountered a problem and can't connect to the system at this time.  Please try again later.

-[ControlDirector failureCreatingTCPConnection:tag:]

Also, under "System Info" it says:

Licenses in Use - Not available

Remote Access - Not available.

 

But when I access my account via my laptop, it says my 4Sight license is valid until next June.  Is this the problem?  If so, how do I get the iOS app to reflect a valid license?

have you tried deleting the system from the mobile app and re-adding it?

RMcalhany,

I might be able to help.  Can you PM you customer.control4 account name?

Or try this:

If your app is stuck on authenticating, it could be a DNS issue.  Try logging in while off your WiFi at home, just cellular.  That should get you passed the authentication.  If this is the case, you'll want to address your DNS in your router at home.
