Sonos control with remote

on my in wall touch panel I can select and control music around my house to be played on our different sonos speakers, is there any way in which I can have any control of sound on my speakers with the listen button on the system remotes?

If the remote is "in the room" with the music playing, transport controls work.

ok, my distributer said this was not possible on sonos, what should I tell them to put them on the right track?

I mean they should just get it. Install and bind the Sonos driver and make it visible in the right room. It's no different then any other audio
