Jeff at Zektor
Thanks Jason. We also offer a 10% discount for new dealers on their first order. We have been shipping the Clarity Elite 8X8 component matrix since March with great results. Many of our integrators have replaced other competitors in their bids to go with us. I look forward to hearing from you.Jeff
DrDSL
Jeff,A significant % of our jobs require more than 8 outputs. - Do you have a recommended 8 x 16 configuration using two of the switches? - Do the source inputs have buffered outputs that can be run to the second switch or are external 1 X 2 distribution amplifiers for each source required?- What are the C4 driver implications for a configuration like this?- Also, as nearly as I can tell, there is no IR (emitter) channel carried over the CAT-5 to the TV. Correct? Thanks,GeorgeHome Technics, Inc.
CFUG
Jeff,A significant % of our jobs require more than 8 outputs. Thanks,GeorgeHome Technics, Inc.Boy, you're not kidding. As an EU, 8 is NOT enough.
digitaltrader
The only thing I see missing is a way to carry the IR signal. Great looking piece.
Jeff at Zektor
We haven't formally announced these products but here goes; your points about larger I/O is well received. We are currently working on two new projects that will provide a cost competitive solution for just what you are asking for and will have the feature sets that have been designed into the Clarity Elite 8X8 and Clarity Prowler CAT5 switches. Our yet to be named product, call it Racer X, will be a 16X24 switch with 16 component video inputs and 24 CAT5 outputs. A number of integrators have asked for this exact product since they tend to switch video separately from audio. They will typically send the audio directly from their source into an amplifier for the speaker distribution. We will also have an accompanying audio switch which will have all of our volume, bass, treble and 5 band EQ functions. That product is also planned to have bi-directional IR and serial on a second CAT5 with a separate control receiver.A couple of important notes about our SoloCAT CAT5 extender technology is that we transmit audio, video and power up to 500' over a SINGLE CAT5 cable with power required only on one side. You can apply power to either the transmit or receive side whichever is convenient. The same is true up to 1000' with power applied to both sides when you purchase these as SoloCAT pairs. In the Clarity Prowler and the new upcoming product, you will be able to transmit 1000' with no power supply required at the receiver as we have increased the power supply size inside the unit. The SoloCAT receivers auto convert stereo L/R analog to digital and digital to stereo L/R analog. Our audio transmits digitally so you don't have to worry about audio hum or EMI/RFI interference. This is really important for retrofit's. Since you have no idea how close the CAT5 cable is run to an AC line, strung over lighting, etc. this is a great feature to ensure a great result.I look forward to all of your feedback.Thanks.Jeff

Jeff at Zektor
What price would you consider to be reasonable that you could sell to your clients? Please take into consideration that you will be able to easily link into our audio unit and our overall ease of use, premium specifications, features, warranty, etc.We live only because of the professional integrators. It doesn't matter what we think it's worth it's what the market will bear. Our typical model is that our pricing is about the middle of the road but has the specs more features than the better known brands.Looking forward to your feedback.Thanks.Jeff
thecodeman
As long as it's cheaper and better than key digital...lol

Jeff at Zektor
Codeman, LOL is right! Not much of a problem beating KD with better specs, features, price, quality, etc. Not looking bash any competitor but they are probably the number one competitor that integrators convert to us from. Thanks.Jeff
