Chris62
Is anyone else irritated over the frequent “please wait” instruction on the new Neeo remote whilst it locates a network?

We had two in a row with bad radios. That may be your issue.

If you haven't done so already, I believe there is a "Disable WiFi Sleep" setting in Composer for the remote that would significantly reduce this happening. It does come at the cost of off the dock battery time.
Chris62
Thanks...I have already turned off the sleep setting and there is still a circa 10-20 second delay whilst the remote wakes up and connects to the network. Doesn’t sound much but when it does it constantly its irritating. Does anyone else experience this issue?
Cyknight
Only on poor WiFi setups. Mostly in situations wehere WiFi APs have too much overlap and not good at hand-off management. Also check if you have fast hand-off enabled (802.11r or fast transition or fast BSS are also terms for this, device dependent on what they call it) they seem to not like that especially in combination with overlapping coverage
Chris62
Thank you - I will look into this....
BraydonH
I have a WAP in my Master Bed where my Neeo is and I honestly don't think I have ever seen that message before. When I pick my Neeo up its ready to go. Might need to beef up the wifi.
RyanE
Yeah, if you do improve your Wifi to the point that you can definitively rule it out, you may want to look into RMA replacement. RyanE
Chris62
Yes its a puzzle. I have a WAP in pretty much every room so access to the network should not be an issue. I am interested in pursuing the previous blog on WAP overlap/handover so will see how this develops. Huge thanks
