BubbaDuck
I just got a popup that my machine was almost out of disk space. That shouldn't be, I thought to myself. So I fired up WinDirStat and low and behold C:\users\myuser\AppData\Roaming\Control4\logs was filled with giant logs (250MB ish) going back months adding up to many 10s of gigabytes. Is there a clean up check box I have never seen or heard of to clean these up or limit their retention.. or maybe to turn them off all together? They don't seem to be terribly useful as it's all network chatter between Composer and Director.
lippavisual
Your controller was most likely set to log something. Any troubleshooting being performed on your system?
BubbaDuck
Months and months ago C4 support was remoted in trouble shooting a serial port. Tech forgot to shut off logging you think?

alanchow
Click on 'Help' Click on 'About Composer Home / Pro', Click on 'Copy to Clipboard' Paste it here. Certain versions of Composer have debug logging on by default. On 12/7/2020 at 6:02 AM, lippavisual said: Your controller was most likely set to log something. BubbaDuck
Composer Pro: 3.2.0, Build 587744-res / OS Package: 3.2.0.587744-res Director version: 3.2.0.586513-res Being on by default would be a surprise as this is just what ever gets crammed down when Composer phones home and finds a new version. EDIT: Thinking about it, I wish I had paid attention to how old the logs are as I am pretty sure they started before 3.2.0.
msgreenf
There are fixes in 3.2.1 composer about how much it logs to the local machine
BubbaDuck
Wow, that must have JUST dropped as it didn't show when I started up Composer yesterday. Yet there it is now. Let me update and see what happens.
