Integrating Facebook’s Portal TV

I’m trying to integrate Facebook’s portal TV into a C4 system. It’s connected to an LG TV through HDMI and gets controlled by HDMI-CEC. The TV is integrated with C4 through IP control. All I need is to add a source under watch that turns on the TV and switches it to a specific HDMI input. I already have my LG TV under watch, but that doesn’t switch the HDMI input. If I add any other device under watch it won’t control the TV, but rather tries to control the device itself (but all I need is to control the TV to control the device). How can I take care of this?

Thank you for your inputs!

You need to add the HDMI no control driver as mentioned above. Then in programming, when HDMI control driver is selected as the video source, delay a second or two, then set the TV as the video source. That way you’ll still be able to navigate with the TV’s controls.

Thanks @cshepard, I’ll try that. But if that’s done, would it automatically show the TV controls on the screen or would I need to go to active media sessions and select the TV before I control it?

No, once the programming I mentioned switches to the TV being the video source, that’s what brings up the TV controls.

@cshepard that was already being done, but there was no delay. We added the delay as well now.

Even after adding the delay, it’s the same problem though. The TV controls don’t automatically pop up. So say I go to watch and click on my Fire TV, I see the controls on the screen of my phone immediately. But in this case when I go to watch and choose Portal TV, nothing pops up. Only after I click back and go out of watch, I can see the TV controls.
