Configurable keypad "Replace Legacy Control4 Device"?

I just noticed on 2 of my configurable keypads the command "Replace Legacy Control4 Device".  I thought the keypads are the most recent ones so I'm not sure what this command refers to in Composer?  Are these configurable keypads considered old already?

Replace legacy keypads means that it will copy all your programming from a legacy keypad and remove it from your project. It's a way to go from the old six button to the new configurable keypad

Just to note, the same option exists for replacing the older switches and dimmers with the gen3 (current) lighting.

 

And I SO wish they'd add the ability to replace not just old devices, but any devices (ie configurable keypad being replaced with a wireless one to boost zigbee, fpd to replace an overloaded apd....)
