Dueport
I assume there's a temp sensor in the Chime (for diagnostics at least) - don't see any exposure of temp values in Composer HE though. Does anyone know if there is a temp sensor in there and how to expose it to programming? Use case here would be to take the value from that sensor and program off of it or display it on the TSs for actual outside temp (I think you can bound that outside temp display to an actual sensor?). If there is a temp sensor in there not currently exposed in the existing driver then this would be a nice addition to a future driver version...... chopedogg88
I'm not aware of any temp sensor in the Chime...I think that's a bad assumption. msgreenf
Cyknight
You mean a device/chip temp indicator? No idea if there is one - it certainly isn't exposed - nor would it be any indication of a 'true' outside temperature. I don't see where you'd assume there would be a separate sensor for (ambient) temp on there - even if there was, doubt it'd be accurate at all (for outside temperature) within the tight confines of the device. Yes I was thinking there's likely at least a diagnostic device/chip sensor in there and would be nice to be able to access that to display outside temp (since the doorbell is a prime location to measure) - but you make a great point that the reading could be off a lot (especially in non-extreme cases like winters here in New England). Thinking about it more and realized there's a perfect sensor I can use - the air temp sensor on the pool automation controller that's integrated with C4 - so no need for this anyway.
