LB77
What is the cheapest way to get contact inputs in to a system (OS2)? Could be zigbee or network. Could be native or third party. Used IO Extenders are easy but they still aren't that cheap. My experience is the cheapest option for dry contact outputs being the KM Tronic relay board (~$12 per output), and the HS103 Kasa for line voltage outputs (~$7 per output). Aforementioned numbers hardware cost only. Suggestions?

LB77
The control by web products are industrial quality and the integration is good, as long as the cost can be justified for the application. The Controlbyweb module cost is comparable to a second hand IO extender, which might buy you more depending. Low cost IO makes it reasonable to integrate/automate a lot of possibilities that otherwise wouldn't be cost justifiable purchasing a Z2IO or C4 plug switch. The Arduino driver is a great idea. I was not aware of it. Serial can be a little inconvenient depending on location. Nonetheless I will be trying it out!
zaphod
Global Cache products like the GC-100 are good for this but generally aren't cheaper than what you quoted, unless you buy used off of ebay. Andrew luecke
