Justin Rhodes
Hi, Sky Stream is becoming a problem we have users ordering in the UK with no drivers available. I presume SkyQ will be dropped once this takes off, needs resolving ASAP! Anyone else in the same boat?
1 alanchow
We investigated this thoroughly. We attempted to reverse engineer the hardware it first and discovered there was no open ports We attempted to reverse engineer the software next and discovered it doesn't control the hardware We have a contact who has a relationship with Sky and confirmed that there is no API We also attempted to utilise CEC control as well over it but thus far have failed. At this point IR is the only method of control which provides adequate functionality.
0 Thepritch88
I'm in the same boat, have a few installs coming up with Sky stream, I'm not expecting anyone to come out with a new driver anytime soon though, the best we can hope for is one of the UK based driver creators has a go but I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't even a public APi available for it yet. will have to make an IR driver for it for the time being
