Keypad dual function up / down buttons

M3Trackboy

Question

Hi, I'm trying to program a keypad so when button A turns the light on the up / down buttons control dimming. If button B has a radio station on it you press  and up / down buttons control the volume. I've done this in connections and it works except one big problem, if you turn the light off the up / down buttons see this as last button pressed and wont control the volume. is there an easy way of programming for when a source is off the up / downs revert to the "live" source?

Many thanks

The trick that was found is to send a release to the music keypad button through programming, which will set it as the last and not actually trigger any of it's connections (as longs as you haven't added special programming to the buttons actual release option in programming tab).

Programming Tab:
When button A pressed reset timer delay10sec (repeat for each button other than B or other music)

When delay10sec timer expires - release Keypad Button B

You'll have 10 seconds after selecting lighting to make adjustments, than it reverts to volume control.

you can also conditional your programming on the buttons to not adjust things if something is active. then just press the button corresponding to what you want to control and then press the arrows.

Hi Matt

Many thanks, programming seems to be like a rabbit hole! extremely powerful and addictive.
