T4 and 4k camera

Recommended Posts

I have an Axis outdoor camera I installed and it works great through the control4 iOS app on my phone and iPad but whenever I click on the thumbnail to make it full screen on my T4 wall pads, the T4 sputters and times out without pulling up the image. Any ideas? Is this fixable or just a limitation of the T4?

Haven’t tried the chowmain driver. I will say the camera pulls up really fast in the iOS Control4 software-like perfect. It just won’t appear on my T4 screens. I get a spinning wheel and it times out. Do the t4 screens max at a particular resolution or something?

The answer is that the T4s cannot display a feed above 1920x1440. I got the chowmain driver and stepped down the resolutions. Odd that in the iOS C4 app it isn’t an issue, so theoretically if you used iPads instead of T4s, you’d be fine.

But I appear to still be able to feed the higher resolution to my Qnap.

Most likely could have just created a new stream on the camera itself that was 1080P and fed that to C4.

Maybe. The camera software has not been great. This seems to work, though it was a $75 solution. Would be nice if the T4 could display what the iOS app can.
