Craige Mackenzie Posted October 13, 2023 Posted October 13, 2023 We have control4 managing our electric window openers but will only be fully open or shut, we need to stop in variable stages of open but it can’t do it. Does the driver need changing. we have sensors on the windows for security on open and shut which we don’t want to lose Quote
Cyknight Posted October 15, 2023 Posted October 15, 2023 The driver would likely need changing: but the bigger question would first be if the window itself (well the motor i suppose) has that capability at all, let alone via relay triggers or not. Then if it does, can rewiring be done to make it happen. Lastly do you have the required available relays to do it. Quote
Neo1738 Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Only way I can think to do now is to do a start timer and end of timer send a stop command (if it has one). I have a shade that is up down only and have to manually hit stop when I want to open half way. I could time it and program it but eh lol. Quote
DarioH Posted May 21 Posted May 21 I'd like to know the answer to this too. I use 24V motors for large windows and use KmTronic webrelay to open and close. The Webrelay channel is basically a toggle, so you can open and close whenever you click on it, but the Window drivers only open and close all the way. I haven't found a good driver where I can set a limit on like a middle ground. Other then messing with driver's miliseconds of providing power, or timers in programming, its weird. I almost wish i can use like a dimmer to do this. Quote

This only works if the native controls for the blinds (OEM remote or wall button) are never used. Otherwise the system will go out of sync. Quote
