Alexa Down?

It’s been a few days and my Alexa skill has not been working.

I haven’t heard of any outages with Alexa, does anyone else have any information if the Control4\ Alexa skill is down?

Check your customer.control4.com account and ensure you have a 4sight subscription

Mine was down for a few days but is working again now.  Over the last six months it has been done a handful of times that I have noticed.

thanks Zaphod , I don’t recall it ever being down for over a day or two.

Mine has been down since last weekend.

That's about the time mine went down but it is back now.

Good to know it’s not just me.

We miss the Alexa skill when it’s down in my house…mostly my kids use it more than anyone!

Where to look ?

Just didn't want to start another thread.

Often I ask Alexa turn on a light , turn off a light and turn on a light , all in the space of a minute…….. yea works and fast.

2 minutes later I get “ “ not responding !   2 minutes after that commands work.

Is my HC 800 getting tired ????

Lately my Alexa & Control4 seems to sort of disconnect every day or two (and none of the Control4 devices respond via the Alexa integration).

 

Initially, I would perform the following actions:

1. Log into customer.control4.com.

2. Click on Voice Control.

3. Under the ALEXA SKILL CONFIGURATION section, uncheck any checked device.

4. Check that same device again to ensure it will be enabled.

5. Click on the Save Changes button.

After a few minutes, my Control4 devices would respond again via the Alexa integration.

 

Then I realized I could just tell Alexa to "Run discovery" which would get things working much quicker than going through steps 1 through 5 above.

Thanks been experiencing same except I go through disabling and enabling skill etc

I have found that it is down fairly frequently and seems to come back without me having to take any action.

Yes same here, I did notice it is down again today. I typically do not do anything and it works again mostly the  next day.
