Hikvision Camera Driver Reverts Stream

Recommended Posts

Something I’ve noticed is anytime there is a C4 update for the controller it’s seems my Chowmain Hikivsion driver reverts the preferred stream from 2 back to 1. Which in my configuration stream 1 is a resolution that C4 can’t handle, so I have to remember to go back in and change the stream back to 2 or I just get black squares in C4 for my IP cameras off my Hikvision NVR. Don’t know if others have seen this, but if I’m missing something I should be doing let me know.

G'day,

Which version of the driver are you using? Justin I believe fixed this in: 20220307 - 07-MAR-2022.

That being said, I assume this is with the standard driver? We now have an "advanced" camera and NVR driver which is part of the same driver license which is a complete rewrite and designed to be easier to troubleshoot.

Alternatively, I would recommend testing the advanced drivers too (if you have a licenced copy of the normal Hikvision drivers, Advanced is a free upgrade as part of it, and your dealer simply needs to backup the project, delete the existing devices and swap with the advanced devices).

If you are running a version newer than 20220307 in the camera drivers, we recommend your dealer submits a helpdesk ticket: https://chowmain.software/for-integrators/technical-support .

Try using the Advanced Camera and NVR drivers instead.. They're a huge upgrade and are the way forward (and they automate a lot of things)

Aight. Will look into it. I thought this was the advanced driver.
