Halo 1.8.3 Firmware

  • 4 weeks later...

I have 4 Halos  now on 1.8.3.001746

All 4 remotes drop connection and reconnects about every 4 minutes.

The remotes were rock solid before this.

They are on a very stable UniFi network and all connected with 2.4 on their own SSID

All C4 software & UNIFI is current release.

ideas?

My setup was the same adding Halo after having a Neeo situation. Was very problematic until C4 support old me 5G is recommended for Halo remotes. Halo's been solid since changing it to 5G. actually added a Touch as well, both work great on 5G

That’s interesting. Thinking the Halos prefer 2.4Ghz, I forced mine onto a 2.4-only SSDI and had constant dropouts. I then moved it to an SSDI that has 2.4, 5, and 6, and now it works perfect. Never realized it prefers 5.

I changed the dedicated Wi-Fi network to 5G and the same issue persists

They connect and then drop after 1-3 minutes.

Any other ideas?  So weird, they have been great until 1.8.3.001746
