This driver is designed to control up to 20 screens in a room arranged as minor screens around a major screen. The primary use of the driver is to enable the customer to easily swap the source displayed on a minor screen with that on the major screen. This is most often used when customers wish to follow more than one sports event simultaneously switching the focus between games as they progress.
The driver and method described here provides the customer with the flexibility to control such arrangements using the standard Control4 UI. The control of the major screen will enable them to both control the source currently displayed and easily swap with another screen. It is also possible to control any of the minor screens with a separate control device (Touchpanel, App or Remote) which is great when friends come around. -

an ea5 has a standard db9 male port, your matrix switch you specified had a standard db9 female port, so you would just use a standard null modem (db9 m-f cable) most likely?
what adapters are you referring too? rj45 to db9 adapters to send over cat 5? if so then here is the wiring diagram and you would reverse 2 and 3 on one end to get your null modem.

I know some of us had the alarm panel beeping issue several months ago due to the driver requiring an update. I updated and all was fine until now.
Now at exactly midnight every night the alarm panel beeps 4 times. Sometimes it does the 4 beeps again within minutes. I try to catch what the alarm panel says and I think says something about SYSTEM MENU.
The only change I have made is that my user password was updated on customer.control4.com.
The driver was setup and has our 4 digit PIN for the Concord 4 alarm panel in it.
All functions through Control4 are working A-OK (arm, disarm, chime on, chime off, etc).
Any ideas before we go insane??? Thanks!

trouble beeps are page 66 and 67.
also you may have some programming in your project like auto alarm system at midnight if it is not already armed? maybe a zone is open and it can not arm?

Since it is a local API, rather than cloud based, security shouldn't be an issue. There is a security token but the docs don't mention anything about the token expiring so presumably you could hard code it into the command.
Here is a command using Curl to set the speed of a fan with the Bond API. You should be able to emulate this command with the Generic TCP driver sending an HTTP PUT command. I presume that fireplace commands should be very similar.

come to think of it if it was just this one thing you wanted the bond bridge for you could save yourself some time and money and just hard wire a hack? since your remote only has 2 functions (on and off) you could either use 2 relay ports on a home controller of your choice or a IO extender or a wireless relay/contact module and solder it to the pads on the board of the remote? chances are you have one of these already and you would only require a bit of system programming to bind the relay ports?

as mstafford388 already mentioned most if not all professional monitoring service providers will not allow DIY 100%, now that's not to say you cant not setup the system exactly as you want prior to them coming in to test and configure their monitoring settings (phone number or IP along with your assigned account number) thus potentially saving you tons of money in elevated price options and additional runs if you require changes to your existing system.
As for recommendations for said monitoring company it would be useful if you listed what country you are in as monitoring companies are not typically international and will not monitor out of their country.

i do not own a sr260 that I can rip apart (i have 8 or so sr250's) to verify but after looking at the specifications of the display and looking at a picture of one with the case off it is possible this may be an inexpensive replacement display?
there is another thread with a tutorial on doing this on a sr250 with cracked display so it may be of some help with regards on opening the sr260?

unfortunately my model (UN43MU6300FXZA) does not have the ex-link port
but in the specs it says "rs-232c ready", after doing some investigating i found this is achieved by using a usb to rs232 adapter or a usb to ex-link adapter, the first sounds like the path of least resistance. not sure i will bother trying though as it is working well after the firmware update, also not sure the c4 driver would recognize the rs-232 connection? there is no setting in the driver properties to tell it i am using serial vs IP and the control method in the c4 database says IP.

Mind you it just occurred to me i have not looked at the available ports on the TV to bind too and see if it even lists rs-232 since it is an option? i suppose i could edit the driver and add a rs-232 port to it if it does not have one already? the more i talk about it the more hassle it sounds. i will just try to go by the old saying if it ain't broke don't fix it

initially when I got the TV back at the beginning of June I was experiencing some annoying latency issues which prompted me to post in another thread
asking if anyone had used the optional USB to ex-link adapter but I got busy with other stuff and tolerated it until a firmware update come out several weeks later that solved the issue. now it it pretty snappy and I cant complain. It seems the firmware updates get pushed out a little later up here in Canada which is kinda annoying but what can ya do. I still would be interested in trying the USB to ex-link (rs-232) solution as most of my equipment is (and they just work flawlessly) and my OCD in the back of mind still says switch it but hard to prioritize it when it is now working fine over IP with the new firmware

Does it have the IP Control settings in the menu?
If not, you may be better off controlling them over a serial connection. Samsung provides USB to Serial adapters for free from your Samsung distributor.

DSC (Digital Security Controls) Founded in 1979
now I realize that just because a company has been around longer is does not make them better but they have a lot more experience and have been an industry leader for much longer and for a very good reason.
DSC is not sold as a DIY solution IMO (though they are offering some newer products (iotega series) that may be considered that for tech savvy people)
just my 2 cents.
also judging by the response you received on your previous post on dec 22, 2017 i am not sure why you are even asking this question again?

DSC is my go to brand of choice. Integrates well and easily with Control4. Large amount of highly reliable competitively priced options. Widely supported. It just works and works well IMO.
