I had Jandi years years ago and it worked just fine and was as easy as using it on the C4 side. The last two pools have both been Hayward OmniLogic, and the interface works great but the one issue is that it does not have the timers like on the Hayward app. For instance, my fountains , the cleaner, waterfalls bubblers and fire bowls are just an on off and not able to set a timer for 20 minutes or an hour or whatever I want. So generally, I just use the Hayward app for control, but I can see everything in Control4 as well. The Alexa integration with Hayward is pretty decent as well but she does get confused sometimes and turn on the wrong things. Great question and would love to know if that is possible. The only thing I’ve been able to find that helps a little bit when this happens is to open my shades and turn lights on. Not a perfect solution like an alarm would be, but it does work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Tried that and didn’t do a factory reset. Also tried 9-9-9 and saw an old post that said 5-5-5 on dimmers and that didn’t work either.

Building new house and installed the essential dimmers and just using as regular switch until home is finished. The dimmer won’t Just go instant on/off like it did when first installed but now have to hold it down to turn it on/off and slowly fades on/off which is a pain until I get the controller set up. Is there a way to factory reset these switches with out programming from the co troller so it goes back to original instant on/off like when first installed?

I was reading about it setting up a zigbee and z-wave network and assumed it was internal. With the dongle it makes sense but not sure much benefit if supported devices is small. The 3.1 was what I thought was current but once house is built about 10-11 months from now what ever is current. Are there Any stability issues on the 3.X versions like some of the lower releases had I remember? I have been on 2.9.1 it seems like forever and it was pretty solid for me. I’m really curious about locks (5) and light switches (60+) and zigbee still the way to go probably?

Starting my planning to build new house and have been on every level of C4 OS since 1.7.4 since 2007 over multiple different homes. I Live in Dallas TX area and Currently use an HC-800 on 2.9.1 on a very large project for my home and looking for advice on new devices and wonder if the Z-wave built into EA5 is reliable? Can it be any Z-wave device like locks or lights or is it like Zigbee devices that are “special” and still only can use C4 certified ones? Cost is an issue so looking for alternatives. On audio distribution I currently have 16 zones on 2 - C4 amps and works great for a over a decade. Is that still best or are there wireless solutions now besides Sonos that work well? I mostly want speakers installed in ceilings so they’re out of the way so not sure about wireless connection with that caveat. Is the C4 thermostat still the best way to go for HVAC? Or have they improved integration that is as reliable with other manufacturers? I’ve seen Nest in a friends house and it was pretty limited. I have a spare HC-800 and can that act as a slave unit on 3.1 for my pool house like my old HC-250 does? I know the EA1 are cheap but since I already had it, was just curious. Sorry for long post.

Nope. On the “programming” panel all those “extras are on the bottom below all my projects rooms etc. and there is a connection line that drops down from the name of my project at the very top. But on the “system design” pa el that line and the attached extras like programming control, advanced lighting, media scenes custom buttons etc are gone? I am still on 2.9.1 and was moving through the screens quickly and hit something to removed all variables, lighting, media scenes etc at the bottom of the “system design” panel on the left side. When I switch to agents and “programming” they appear again. I am stumped as to what I pushed that hid that section. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yup. That’s the exact same issue I am having. The delay is such that I really don’t even use the shades control on my C4 app and just have “Alexa” do all the scene commands which works perfectly from voice control. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am getting a LUA output that is non stop and in short it says “attempt to call method ‘set binding status’ (a nil Value)”. I think this is what was lock-in up my controller? Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I Just deleted the C4 app and reinstalled on my iPhone. It took 2 mins and 45 seconds to sync my system to the app. It has never been like that before. Then after the app synced it took 75 seconds for the app to fully load so I could select music, or change the temp etc. very slow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am on OS2 still and running the beta version with the latest bug fixes but it is soooo slow right now to load and respond to any command it’s virtually made the system unusable. The Alexa commands seem to still work as before but that’s a limited amount of functionality compared to what I need on the app. Anyone else got serious speed issues as well on the app loading? I have used the Pentair a few years back and now the new pool I am on the HAyward OmniLogic. The HAyward app has more functionality of course for the chlorination and pool chemicals etc. but the C4 driver has all the basics which is fine for controlling the pool, spa, pumps, heater, pool cleaner and lights. Especially like the ability to create various scenes for family to keep it simple on C4. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wondering if there is a way to re order the rooms to the most used at the top when going into the “zones” area on the app to add rooms to current music playing? I have 17 zones and would like the most used ones at the top instead of going all the way to the bottom as it doesn’t appear there is any sequence I can find except in the order they were added to the project. I am having the same issue the past month or so on my internet appearing to go out with loss of streaming music etc but the internet company says it’s not them. I do have two 8 port Araknis POE switches and a non POE 24 port switch. We did have a Disney Circle device to control kids internet usage but disconnected it and still seems to be an issue so it wasn’t that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Refreshed the navigators and then couldn’t log back into the app. Power cycled the controller and still missing the “listen” icon and the play bar items down below. Dry slow to load up the app as well now. Appears to freeze for even deleted the C4 app and reloaded it. Not help either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
