  1. Well that’s good to know. Any downsides of the annex driver? The driver I have, when it works, automatically rings on the T3 screens, brings up a live video feed, and allows me to speak to whoever is at the door through the T3 screens. Is this any different than how annex works? Do you know the cost of the driver, or if there is a free trial? Not very happy with the current driver I’m using.

It's free. No down sides. So far has worked well for us. Not sure if the differences but I haven't found any drawbacks

  2. I had a client call me the other night saying her internet wasnt working. After 20 mins of trouble shooting over the phone she decides to mention she put in a new router / modem herself. Got her to call the cable company and put it in bridge mode. BAM, worked. Please, please call your installer before making any changes to your network. It saves everyone time. Time = money.

  3. Im using that free driver with C4 when there is no need for library integration in C4 and there is no issue with it whatsoever. You can't claim something without trying first.

And from experience every stuttering or slowdown issues in Kodi are from: 1. crap Chinese boxes with bad firmwares 2.network issues 3.wrongly encoded movies.

I have tried it. I've used it in my own system for a year before I got fed up with what the poster I replied to is experiencing. These are not shuttering or slowdown issues from a cheap box or crappy network. I built my box myself from scratch, it's super fast with no issues. Changing to Alan's driver has made the transports within movie playback perfect.

  4. I should clarify,  on the menus and input via virtual response time is basically normal. However when I am trying to fast forward or Advance a video or pause or play is when the delay occurs

Please read previous posts!! You are not using the Chowmain Kodi driver. You are using the free xbmc driver. Get the Chowmain Kodi driver and your problems will be solved, I can say that with 100% confidence.

    Problem solved, you're welcome!

  5. I have 2 XBMC boxes currently, 1 in my main theater area and 1 in my rack running into a 4x4 HDMI matrix.

My issue is I have significant delay in command responses of approximately 4-5 seconds.  For example, if I hit FForward, and then try to hit it again it won't respond to go from 2x to 4x to 8x etc for at least 4 seconds between response to increase FForward speed.

Another example if you hit PAUSE, it will take 4 seconds before you can hit PLAY.

My dealer said that is normal (?!) for the XBMC Control4 response time but it's very annoying.

In looking at Composer it appears the driver that is there under Properties is "Control4 DriverWorks SDK" as far as I can see.  When I'm looking at Properties, the LuaOutput keeps moving along and saying On Timer Expired every 30 seconds or so  with some other lines of dialogue.

Any ideas on how to get more rapid response than 4 second delays between commands being accepted???

Sounds like you don't have Alan's driver. You must have the free Kodi driver. This is normal for the free driver for some odd reason. Using Alan's driver it works perfect with no "delay" on fast forward or play/pause.
