  1. Hi all,

Running into a strange issue with a customer provided 'All Season TV' brand (https://www.weatherprooftelevisions.com/proddetail.php?prod=All-Season_FB55). For some reason, when I create a custom IR driver to control the TV, I pull in the IR codes just fine, but when I attach the IR bud, it blinks on the commands but the TV doesn't respond at all. I'm pretty positive about the IR receiver location on the TV as well and it's clearly marked. Is there some interference with IR for outdoor TVs?

I've done this before successfully for Sunbrite and other outdoor tvs without an issue. Any suggestions?

  2. Hi all,

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Interior Door Station with Camera is not compatible with OS3, so be aware. No one told me when I was purchasing this from the dealer portal and I installed the dang thing, it showed up on SDDP and then the drivers wouldn't get downloaded. Anyway, thought I'd share since C4 doesn't share it on their dealer portal either.

Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with this hole, thanks C4, come on.

    Completely pissed.

  3. Hi all,

I've been having a common issue with remotes that are on OS3. For some reason when I hit watch, then Cable TV, for example, the remote is still showing the 'watch' list and it stays like that for about 30 seconds or so and then it finally switches the remote over to ' Cable TV'.

I tried this also on an iPad and it seems to go to the watch activity ok, but the control buttons, left/right up down, etc don't work for about 15 seconds and then they start working.

Is anyone else having this problem with OS3? I spent hours on the phone with c4 tech support and even tried new remotes, new controller and disabling 2.4 ghz on the router etc and nothing yet.

I am also seeing the same symptoms at another project where it was functioning properly with 2.10.6 and with 3.0 the remote / Nav is not updating properly when switching watch modes.

Have you tried putting a 1x2 splitter on the avr output then your hdmi link to tv?  This is important especially if using hdbt extensions.

Havent had any of those problems and use those 2 brands exclusively.

Yesss, the 1x2 hdmi splitter worked for me. I use this trick all the time... No idea why it works but I think it's an hdcp 2.2 override..

  5. Hi Everyone,

I'm working on a C4 project and all the touchscreens do not power on. I tried testing and testing the Cat5e cables and all 3 of the touchscreens in my install are not powering on. Is there something I need to do in order to get these to power on? I tried linksys PoE+ switch, Araknis injectors, and went through a bunch of different ones and nothing. All I get is a solid blue LED in the back box. What's going on here? Anyone have a tip, or is there a switch on these things?

  6. Hi All,

Just another weekend install for a 1 room set up. Turned into an all day troubleshooting fiasco and I'm reaching out to the forums to see if anyone has a solution.

So here's the deal, I have an EA-1 that has 2.9.1 loaded up, brand new in the box.

I Connected to the network, I can see it in Composer and System Manager just fine. When I Open Composer, Choose "Local System", it shows up just fine, I choose the Controller (EA-1 192.168.1.108), then click Connect and then I get an error "Could not connect to Director 192.168.1.108.

I've tried the good old network reset, same result.

I also tried the factory reset, same result.

Any luck or am I just wasting my time?

This is the second controller that I've opened new and had random problems with..What's the deal C4??

You only need the NWK and the Lutron Power Panel (and maybe a 24v power supply for the NWK).

You need to ask the shade installer to set the limit while installing, that's easy to do using the three buttons on the share motor. The rest of the programming will be done using the driver without the need of command line or complicated stuff.

No that's no an urban legend, this driver work and once you know how to use it, you will never go back to the dated driver from C4 database.

Why there is no support? Because the original driver was made by Houseloginc sponsered  by Lutron and supported by Control4. My driver is a modded version of the Houselogix driver, I've done it on my time and I was not paid to do so. I am willing to share it to other and explain how to get it to work but don't expect deep support unless I make the driver paid.

That being says, here is the steps needed to make it work:

    - Make sure ALL your shades are installed and connected to the power panel (important! They need to be all there!)

    - Install the NWK on the Lutron QS bus and turn it On. Plug it to the network.

    - Set the NWK IP to something in your current network using the IP Configuration Utility (attached)

    - Add the Lutron NWK QS (Domaudeo) to the projet.

    - Do the network binding according to the IP you've set

    - Go to Action and select "Discover Lutron QS Devices". Wait a few seconds...

    - Go back to properties and it should have found your NWK:

    - Select the NWK device and enter nwk as the username (it's the default username set in the NWK, this is well known)

    image.png.8feaff77202879b5c7ed4b47f869cf97.png

    - Now add a Lutron Sivolia QS Shade (Domaudeo) driver to the project, your need one per shade, of course, but start with one for testing.

    - On the SHADE driver, Select Action and Discover Lutron QS Devices... Wait a few seconds.

    - On back on the Properties of the Shade driver and the Discovered Devices should have populated.

    image.png.01e8ae4405f53faf9477c66af94c25dd.png

    - Select the shade you want to control

    - IMPORTANT! If the shade is brand new and has never "seen" the NWK before, give it a name in the "Device Address" propertie:

    - Click "Set" then go the the Action tab and select "Set Integration ID"

The Shade should now fully work with bidirectionnal feedback and a nice Slider interface in Navigator.

There is a nice Shade Group driver also Included, it build a real hardware shade group for perfectly synchroneous control and birectionnal feedback of the average level of the shade in the group. I can explain how to use if requested.

Hope this will help. Share this procedure if someone else need it.
