tcwalker5 Posted February 23, 2019 Share Posted February 23, 2019 I can’t seem to find a telephoto ip camera that I can tie into my white label hikvision NVR and compatible with C4 I want to view my gate from about 250 ft away with enough detail to make out a license plate. I don’t need AI to capture the plates, I just want to be able to read them manually. All of my other cameras are 4K so I hope to match that as well. Any recommendations? dw886 Posted February 24, 2019 Share Posted February 24, 2019 I have a few dahua PTZ cameras with a 20x zoom which allow me to see quite a distance, and while they'd probably allow you to read a plate with clear skies and broad daylight, I'd think you'd have problems at night, in rain, in snow, etc...Is there no way to get closer with a network connection so you can place the camera closer to what you're trying to monitor?
