Sonos

Is it possible to use an existing sonos system with c4?  I have several wireless speakers, a sonos amp/bridge, a regular receiver and a c4 amp-- would be nice to be able to push buttons on my keypads and have favorites play automatically via sonos speakers- does not have to be room specific.

Yes it is possible via the Sonos driver. Just bare in mind that you will have limited control and only over audio stored in “my Sonos” . Playlists radio stations etc need to be added to this folder via the Sonos app for them to be visible through C4

The way around any limitations with C4 and Sonos is Alexa 

We have dots in each Room with Sonos and you can play anything is Great. 

Also just added "the Move" which as Alexa within  the speaker - Amazing now can control the house from 

Garden while playing music !!

Alexa does help but can’t help you browse through playlists. I have some playlists with over 100 tracks. Not being able to choose  where I want it to start playing is soooo annoying

All we do on the playlist is just fast forward to the track we wish to start at 

now playlist are part of the driver it makes life easy

Will this only work if my Sonos speakers are connected to a Sonos Amp or can I integrate with C4 and remain wireless?
