How do you show custom variable value in navigator on iOS

N8Ball

Question

I have a custom string variable that I would like to be able to see when using Navigator on an iOS device.

I believe the announcement driver can only display values to touchscreen and the TV.

Does anyone have a great idea / driver that would allow me to view the variable's value within Navigator?

FYI - Specifically, I'm trying to show a boolean value.

Have you considered an experience button?

never heard of that, but I'll try anything.

Can you tell me about it? I can't seem to find any mention of an "Experience Button" anywhere.

Control4 has experience buttons that can be used for this purpose. Ask your dealer to install a few for you.

My dealer doesn't know much about experience buttons.

Any chance you could help direct me to to appropriate driver?

tell him to search in composer pro under the category experience buttons

This was the answer...we used the "UI Key - Status Button" driver.

thank you so much msgreenf.

FYI - For anyone else doing this, once the button is configured, it starts off as hidden, so make sure you unhide it for it to show up

I just realized that I never responded to this VINCELdUBI suck. This was so helpful and I absolutely used it.

Sorry for not giving you credit or thanking you for your work on it.

It led me into doing some more custom icons and I learned it because of you.

Thanks again

Ummmm.... like... 3 years later... but better late than never... I guess...
