My 1st floor is all GE zwave dimmers and a vera controller. They work fine, just can't play with ramp rates and lose double and triple tap programming but they will interface with c4 just fine

I am considering GE zwave dimmers as an option to integrate with C4. I am still interested in Lutron Casseta for their Picos but debating if GEs are reliable enough instead of C4 dimmers and switches. Is vera all local and will work with internet connectivity? Any advice is appreciated.

I can’t answer all of your questions, but I can tell you that I’m in construction on a new home right now and after doing a bunch of research and considering all my options I went with Control4 lighting.

I almost did that, but ultimately decided against it because I wanted standard wiring for whatever the future may hold. There are a few places where I have more switches than I’d like.

Yeah was a tough decision. Ultimately we plan to be in the house at least 20 years by then will need remodel so we can change if needed at that time.
