panamagixxer
I am thinking of putting a hot tub on my deck outside - I already have a TV and 4 speakers installed (1 media controller) on the patio. How hard would it be to get the signal to the system in the hot tub so that the speakers play exactly what is on the TV, XM, etc. (whatever C4 has playing)? CFUG
I thought Speaker Point would allow you to wirelessly do this? Is there something I'm missing?
RyanE
Yep, SpeakerPoint is the way to go for WiFi audio.RyanE
panamagixxer
Novice here and have been know to say/ask some pretty ignorant questions - would it be better to hardwire the connection instead of wireless - given I already have a TV and speakers out there? thecodeman
What kind of input does the hot tub have?
RyanE
Wires are *always* better than wireless, in terms of reliability and quality.Wireless wins out in terms of retrofittability and cost.RyanE
panamagixxer
What kind of input does the hot tub have? Not sure - just saw the Cap Spa yesterday at a Home and Garden show (also, Bullfrog and Arctic Spas). I know it has Ipod and auxillary in so I thought the auxillary would work somehow? I will find out tomorrow when I go back to the show with my wife. lippavisual
If it has aux in, then you should be able to just run an analog audio output from your TV to the hot tub. Your done.
