IR Code/Driver Fault - peculiar behaviour?

Recommended Posts

An interesting observation when editing a TV driver's IR codes.
Adding in the discrete IR codes for HDMI1, HDMI2, HDIM3, Component for a Panasonic TV.
Not knowing which codes worked, we tested them using the HC800 until finding the correct code.
One code in particular seemed to lock up the HC800, no longer would it send IR codes. - A reboot resolved.
This happened twice.

Any thoughts on a cause?

incorrect ir codes are a quick way to lock up a controller.

be sure you are entering the ir command in the correct format

i would also suggest using a tv driver with a similar age or setup to the tv you have now. Its not necessary to use the specific model of your tv to get the desired results.
