Rori
Hi,Have a relatively new system. Two main annoying issues since install remain. After a lot of effort/input/troubleshooting from several C4-very smart people have not been able to resolve. Still having it sorted out but would appreciate any thoughts.(Info: Experienced installer, network gear business class-several components already replaced, static IP's, excellent bandwidth; System: 3 HC 300, Amp, A/V Switch, 20 Zigbee devices, services spread out among controllers thus no Navigator or Zigbee on Director)Just wandering if anyone has seen this behavior or has any suggestions.1. Rhapsody music pauses very frequently (sounds like a brief skip) even with one stream, much worse when several streams active (at the time of the pause, processor spike noted under the graphic in system diagnostics). If Rhapsody playing and music from NAS selected in another (2nd zone)...long Rhapsody pause is heard. Music from NAS itself plays fine. 2. On screen navigating of GUI freezes, green cursor disappears, active audio zones may or may not show up, may not be able to add zone because cannot move cursor. Told some of this may relate to a software bug, hopefully this is the case and there will be a fix soon. Thanks very much in advance!
thecodeman
I have the same issue with a customer on the zones page, where the cursor disappers and/or the list of rooms does not scroll, so unfortunately we'll have to wait and see if a future update fixes it. dogdvr
As far as your skipping and delays on rhapsody, these are usually network problems. If you follow C4 guidelins you will work through this, but the problem is some dealers will install routers that they are comfortable with, not what C4 recommends.Good luck
lippavisual
2nd vote for network related issues for Rhapsody. Is Rhapsody being used as the 30-day trial or you have an account? What is your speed from the isp?

Rori
Thanks for your help.Have subscription to Rhapsody not trial. Motorola Cable Modem; Linksys Router RV-042; Network Switch Dell Unmanaged Gigabit; WAP: Airport Extreme (bridge mode only); Single Network. Tried Airport Extreme as Router/WAP (no Linksys in system) and same issue with Rhapsody pauses/skips. All network hardware changed at least once. May not mean anything...but I am able to play Rhapsody in any of my home computers attached to same network with no issues at all.Speedtest results: (not sure if image upload will show up)Download 19.11mb/sUpload 2.24mb/sIf network hardware is ok, configuration has been re-checked and is fine, and bandwidth ok, then is it anything else in the network can be a problem? Any further insight sincerely appreciated.
Matt
Control4 initially wait to get a small amount of data before rhapsody start playing, assuming there is sufficient network bandwidth to sustain the rest of the stream. If after the very small initial data (5k or so) runs out (due to bandwidth, lag, or rhapsody service), control4 then will pause the stream until we have a large buffer of data (500K).
