HPK12357
Have been reading this C4 forum with interest. I have a Control 4 system with SR-260 remotes. All are programmed accurately to charging stations. The system has worked fine for 5 -6 years and the remotes are starting to have problems? Several remotes just don’t hold charge very long. One remote will charge but when you take out of charging station, the remote is dead, I have to open the back, remove the LI Battery and reinsert, then it works fine. When back in charger, it repeats the same problem of charging be coming off charger looking dead? I am thinking that the batteries are just starting to die, not able to hold charge or that the contacts between the battery, the cover and the charging station are not working well? It seems that all three remotes are starting to malfunction within about 6months of each other? Do I need new batteries/covers? I saw somewhere that there are updates that may be needed to the OS for Control 4? Should I be getting the updates done? thoughts?
chopedogg88
Could be the batteries/covers going bad, but the first thing I would try would be updating your OS, which in turn will update the firmware on the remotes which could fix the issue. PM me, I can help you with OS updates remotely. msgreenf

Neo1738
My guess is batteries, 5 years is a long time for a rechargeable battery.
JSTRONG
I have not seen a 5 year old sr260 remote that did not have that dim display issue.
JSTRONG
Test it with regular batteries.
